I'm yet to watch the show but I read the source material as a child and I suppose I'm worried the show won't hold up to the comics.

On reflection I probably shouldn't have been reading said comics at eleven years old

Big fan of the comic, I've only seen season 1 I suppose it's lot alot of adaptations hard to live up to the source material!

Netflix are turning another amazing graphic novel into a TV show soon with sandman... now that going be a challenge...

But for anyone who like preacher.. I'd read it too and check out Sandman.. oh and Transmetropolitan

Dude these are so not for kids!!! You were 11 reading that

I was indeed oh I'm aware they're not for kids but my best friend in primary school owned them and let me lend them.

Tbf by that age I'd watched both Terminators, predator, Commando and Running man amongst other age inappropriate films. I'd also read the alien trilogy novels, a lot of the predator, Aliens AVP graphic novels and the Mask comics.

The Irish guy is Rudy from the misfits. He is English. Anyone seen Misfits? Robert Sheehan from Love Hate was in it too.

Loved the comic series. One of the most outrageous things you will ever read. Only seen the first season of it and while it started slow in my opinion was a bloody great start and was nice to see them switching it up so it wasn't the comic regurgitated on screen

Watched the 1st season when it was released and loved it. Never saw the comic... If more seasons are available, I will watch them (Anto)

It gets much better and far more insane in later seasons.

The bit that always stuck with me from the comics isn't at all gory but seemed like a horrible fate.

Jesse commands a henchman to count three million grains of sand. At some during the comic we see him again, he's counting and the wind blows the sand he has counted away. He starts to cry as he starts counting all over again.
