Got it no problem, you have a higher chance of dying from covid than you have of getting any of the side effects, all vaccines come with their risks but the good always out weight the bad. That's just my opinion stay safe either way

My parents both got phizer nó problem. My two sisters got it too. No problems. My brother got his first shot, had a bad enough reaction which would look like a flu, was fine in a day. His wife got her shots and was fine. Dee got her second shot same result as my brother. I got both and I was just tired. My nephews got their shots. No problem. My neice got hers. No problems. Now all of us are under 40 apart from my pparents. We are in decent enough health. That's eleven people and the worse was two getting reactions. Would love to know where these damaged people are. Most people I know who have had it were fine. No lasting issues they could see so where's your proof of these damaged young people?

80% of people with covid in the UK at the minute aren't vaccinated.

It's a personal choice but quite clear that not getting vaccinated does a hell of a lot of damage, you know the whole covid deaths and intensive care + long term recovery thing and all that......

The next day side affects from the Hot Jalapeño Apache pizza I ate after my jab, was infinitely greater than anything attributed to the vaccine.

Myself, along several of my younger friends have been fully vaxxed since June. No side effects and perfectly fine.

I've had more lethal kebabs, and that's the truth.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT.

In terms of male and female Reproduction, Vaporeon is NOT compatible to humans at all. Neither is Umbreon, or any pokemon in the Geneevuus family. The actual most compatible mons in terms of reproduction would be those who are part of the Human-like group. Humans are part of this group, and additionally lots of these mons have a similar reproduction system structuration and some of them are intelligent enough to consent and actively participate in the process of mating.

The Johnson and Johnson one does apparently still pose a risk to young people in the form of blood clots, but apart from that, the vaccines are far far less harmful than the actual virus so you'd be stupid to not get it imo

Gardevoir would be the most compatible pokemon, due to it's anatomical similarity to humans, and the complex emotions for it's trainer that it is capable of feeling.

I saw Michael D Higgens at a grocery store in Castlknock yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Although they were definitely in the wrong to not get the vaccine in the first place... they are probably right not to have it after they recover as they will have some natural protection afterwards

This is where it gets confusing for me. If anyone who gets it, recovers is it just a case of getting the covid recovered passport to gain entry to places where its needed. What happens when the time limit runs out.

So much work had been done on coronaviruses already prior to covid it helped get covid vaccines off the ground quickly . The research didn’t start in early 2020.

Thé trials used are double blind randomised and controlled . The most water tight type . Much more reliable than social media posts by individuals who may or may not be genuine/paid.

Even if you’re not sure about it, life is so much easier with a DCC. Just do it

Everyone has the right to choose whether to get vaccinated or not.

Personally I couldn't care less what's in it, in the 90s I put lots of untested chemicals to trial most weekends.

But akin to veganism, don't push your opinions in my face, especially on a swingers site.

I must admit it is funny reading advice from a poster on different treads with an erect penis as the profile, it really makes me believe the information being given has been peer reviewed, by lots of other erect pensises.

Take it or don't but don't push your opinions.

Dublin South

I think its safe and got it, no side effects. Once you look at the types who are creating conspiracy theories and see their views on other matters, I think that all you need to know to make a reasoned judgment. But its a free country, just don't whinge when they won't let you into the pub or restaurant.

Even though I am pro-vaccine, I am able to say that I have had prolonged side affects since the vaccine.

It's been 10 days since my 2nd jab, and my left bicep still keeps going into spasms.

Not sore, and barely noticeable. But every so often i notice it is just twitching away with a mind of its own.

Anyone else have this???

If you’re not going to get the vaccine because of Facebook doctors I would suggest you wear a mask, anti-bac your hands and most importantly of all, and I can’t stress this enough, DONT reproduce they’re already too many idiots in this world

That’s a potential side effect with any intra muscular injection unfortunately. Worth speaking to your doctor about if it continues.

"... just don't whinge when they won't let you into the pub or restaurant. "

And this is perhaps the main side effect of the vaccination, the change of understanding of human freedoms. So let me ask you, if you believe in the vaccine so much, why are you so afraid of unvaccinated if you are vaccinated by this miracle of contemporary pharmaceutical industry?

vax v unvaxed.

both can spread the virus

both can contract the virus

both can be hospitalised from the virus

both can die from the virus

and both can remain completely healthy and have no issues at all yet both seem at war like one choice outranks the other. respect everyone's choices and get on with life.

D*unk drivers vs sober drivers

Both can injure someone when driving

It's a personal choice for yourself whether you get it or not as it's your body it's going into. In our case I got the vaccine whereas my better half hasn't had the vaccine so far. I had no side effects but we did have a 3sum with her friend from work and if that was a side effect im all for the vaccine

In fairness, you are correct. There is a reason there is a specific Virus thread.

Irish people are biologically identical to the rest of the world, and we are taking the same vaccines.

There is nothing "ireland specific" about this forum post.

I feel threads like this should be removed and posted in their proper place.

Very unlikely. It would depend on their reason though. If they've an allergy, fear of needles, some vaguely plausible reason I would. But that's very unlikely. The reality is that most unvaccinated people are the kind of people who I don't have much time for and I tend to disagree with them on lots of other issues too.

It boils down to an incompatibility issue basically.

Agreed. If you asked "how has covid affected swinging etc," it would be appropriate for here.

Simply asking if you think it is safe, is not appropriate for this forum.

never enough. 1% holds more than 99% of the world population. It is not that I am complaining. Not listening to rumors and gossips, no watching cranky faces and fake smiles, observing tribal wars.... all these local specialties and doubtful pleasures, which I am not missing at all. I actually could now work from anywhere within my time zone, remotely with little loss on my salary, which is not a loss actually if you compare the value. I should rather say thank you for the pandemic, Darwin will sort the rest for me.

And i have to say that I love these topics. they make life much easier on fabs: block, block, block. Pure Darwin.

Just prefer if threads designed to stir shite and misinformation between fabbers were in the forum they were designed for.

Arguments can break out in any post and on any subject but I have been told that certain fabbers have been caught using a second or 3rd account to deliberately cause grief on this subject alone

It's too important for that nonsence

His wife got her shots and was fine. Dee got her second shot same result as my brother. I got both and I was just tired. My nephews got their shots. No problem. My neice got hers. No problems. Now all of us are under 40 apart from my pparents. We are in decent enough health. That's eleven people and the worse was two getting reactions. Would love to know where these damaged people are. I work with people suffering from long c9vid and with people suffering from vax side effects & what saddens me is the lack of empathy on both sides. People are doing their best, but people are fearful for various reasons. Some are more fearful of covid & get the vaccine & some are more fearful of the vaccine than getting covid. Neither fear is unfounded so a bit of kindness & empathy and live & let live is my approach.

on the hill NordWest of

Op, all the side effects mentioned on this thread are minor.

Overall there was a few blood clots incidents with Astra Zeneca and the Johnson. And some cases of myocarditis with the mRNA vaccines. Given the ratio of vaccines given to such cases it is miniscule but yes some severe reactions occured. It is down to you to judge which risk you want to live with, catching Covid and maybe getting seriously ill or getting a jab and being one out of x 100'000 with a severe reaction. You should factor in your age, overall health and lifestyle.

At this stage nobody knows if there's a longterm reaction to any of those vaccines, I hope not.

Finally it has to be mentioned the vaccine isn't a bulletproof vest, but at least it has improved the situation remarkably.

It is not about the lack of empathy. It is about keeping those vaccinated dictators away. Somehow and at some point they usurped the right to decide about us. They have to be shown again where their place is.

There is still time!! .

Right so me and hitler walk into a bar at a quarter to 4.."hey ladies" the bar man says. How many apples are in the trolly??

To say vaccines are more dangerous than covid is most likely false, to say they are harmless scientifically could be false as we don't know downstream what will happen. But I would imagine it's a low chance. But you cannot say this to the public be cause they are silly...but also so are the people in charge so it's a tough one.., you must use scare tactics. Which I get, but also don't like. We will look to places like Sen, Texas, and Florida to see the craic

For example it was not pushed in news and paper articles that the death rate was actually about 1/2 of what they said. But RTE did slip it in there on the sly.

My Mam was sick for 8 weeks after the vaccine, and I know the reporting of symptoms sight is very unaccessible for those not technology savy, and I know a friend who's neighbor died after the vaccine...(buy maybe he died of other things ). But everyone else was fine. I had covid and it took a few weeks to recover and my sense of smell took months.

All in all I'd say get it. I got covid and then got 1 shot. That used to mean something in this crazy world. But now they want me to get 2. But there will be no boosters around here I can tell ya.

True, but I hear about lambda for months and kappa just recently. Also Epsilon and others are lost by the way, so there must some secret scientific reason behind it.

Compared to the economic cost of the pandemic... the vaccine purchase price would be a total bargain at twice the price.

Obviously the staff still got paid, and and paid for manufacturing. But the likes of Pfizer did not take a profit from the manufacturing of the vaccine.

i travel all over

Getting close to 175 posts.

I think AZ didn’t make a profit but pfizer and moderna did .

Ultimately that’s a good thing . I want drug companies to function so they can carry on working on and researching cancer drugs etc..

And given that we are going back to some kind of normality everyday and that every pandemic was ended by a vaccine I really don’t see why there is still a debate . We don’t need everyone to be vaccinated anyway for herd immunity and everyone is entitled to their views. Also elected governments are entitled to their decisions as to how to restrict unvaccinated people if research shows an increased risk of transmission or serious illness in that group

Few more to go before we get to 175

I fail to understand why people give out about pharmaceutical companies making a profit but don’t level the same hatred at manufacturers and suppliers of disposable gloves and hand sanitiser. A box of 100 nitrile gloves went for over €22 at one point. That to me is worse than a company who has ploughed millions into research making a profit.

If they weren't charging for the vaccines the third world would have been receiving them at the same time as us. If it was really about health they would of give to every age group around the world at the same time and worked down from that. Sure as is there are poorer countries producing the vaccines to ship to other countries, while getting feck all of the supply.

So you can basically forget about "we are all in this together", people have been bribed to easily with being able to go on holidays or sit inside a pub.

Firstly anyone who paid the slightest bit of attention knew there was possible adverse side effects. Its on all the information you are given before receiving the vaccines.

Secondly this was advice given and a measure considered before the vaccine programme even began. Its not a reaction to higher than expected side effects

While it's scandalous how some exploited the shortage of ppe equipment at the beginning of the pandemic and enriched themselves by supplying them to ridiculous prices to the market it's almost miniscule in comparison to the billions of taxpayers money across the globe that went into corona research and vaccines. It's not that the pharmas funded those vaccines all by themselves. Yet only AstraZeneca is priced on a non profitable basis. Moderna and Pfizer have even raised the price per vaccine this week because of its higher efficiency regarding the delta variant. Also the pharmas have total immunity from liability if something goes wrong with their vaccines. So yes the whole pandemic is a hugely profitable business for the pharmas, and while it's not necessarily questionable on a economical level, it is on a ethical one.

I stand corrected on the vaccine being non profit. But even so, if the Pfizer vaccine goes wrong, they may not be held legally accountable, but with literally billions of people affected, their stock would hit the floor and they would be destroyed. Its a huge risk for them to take. I think if someone develops a product, they should be appropriatly compensated for it. Financially, we are still a lot better off paying whatever price they put on it, than without it, and staying in lockdown for god knows how much longer.

I agree with that. I guarantee if you ask anyone here, they will say there is 7 billion people on earth.

But in actual fact, there is 7.9.

We added an extra billion in the last few years and it is growing exponentially.

But pulling a Thanos and killing half the population doesn't fix anything or address the root cause. We will just repopulate again within a generation.

Education, and scientific advancements in clean sustainable energy is the key.

Financially, we are still a lot better off paying whatever price they put on it, than without it, and staying in lockdown for god knows how much longer."

Again billions of taxpayers money went into research and development of the vaccines, the contribution from the pharmas is mainly knowledge, technology, skills and production facilities.

Although the poorest countries get the jabs at a non profit price, problem with profit pricing is that richer countries will be served first, because sales follow economical rules as in who pays most gets most. Pandemic won't be over until vaccines are available to everyone. Until then we create new variants and run in circles.
