It depends on your level of expectation and what you class as successful.

There's no one size fits all and taking generic advice from strangers on the internet isn't going to make a great deal of difference.

Your own personality, demeanour and approach will differ from everyone else's so that's your USP and it's up to you how you market that.

I saw a post yesterday on this that for me sumed it all up

Don’t look as it as a fast wham bang or hook up place

Look at this site as a place to talk with similar minded people

Whilst I don’t agree with some of this and think there are very specific things you can do (fab has been the ultimate game of two halves for me) I do absolutely agree that’s the USP is vital. 19 blokes for one lady or couple in some counties , How are you gonna stand out ?

I think putting in the effort with profile and pictures does help to reap the Fab rewards. For example I chatted to a brand new single guys profile on Monday as I loved his bio as it was well written. He's actually driving up from Cork this morning to get coffee to get verified now that's putting in the effort.

This sums it up well and as others have said just be yourself. There’s something for everyone and no point in losing your way into someone’s good books. It also comes down to what you want as it won’t always be what everyone wants. A good bio and some pictures that appeal to those you are trying to interest, your bio and pictures are a big insure into who you are on here. Good luck

Ok thanks. I have been putting in the effort,looking at profiles,messaging,winking etc. And only contacting those that suit my preference. Have good patience so will wait and see how it goes.

Most people look at profiles before even opening a message so that's where the effort is required first and foremost before contacting anyone.

Yeah I get that man, I was the same you'll get there eventually, but definitely be active on the forum's that definately helps. And I find taking the taking the chat to . another chatting app i.e k. I. K can help to spice up the chats

As already said, you get out what you put in.

It's pointless being polite if the people you are being polite to can see little or nothing about you that may catch their eye beyond the few words in your opening message.

That comes from your shop window which is your profile.

If it isn't attractive or detailed enough they will move on to the next shop.
