I was recently reading an article about the outbreak of Syphilis and other STDs in Ireland, which are on a steady rise.

We've been deprived of fun for so long and we rightly want to tear the clothes of one another and jump right in.

Doesn't mean we shouldn't be careful though!

This is such a handy service.

I ordered it a few weeks ago, but kind of forgot about it and they send me a text asking what was up, so I actually just dropped the freepost envelope in the mailbox there 10 minutes ago.

You do have to draw a wee test tube of your own blood, but its easier than it might sound.

They were available in Kerry a few months ago as part of the pilot. It took me 3 fingers before I was actually able to get the blood to go into the tube. I was trying to drip it in, but it wasn't going in, so I started to use the little lip on the tube to scrape it. That worked for me.

Very handy service. Hopefully they roll it out fully.

Me too! They hadn't said if they needed a stool sample or not, but I like to give 110% to every test I've ever taken, so I just plopped one in the envelope too.

When i got the test and had to drop the blood in the tube ,my blood wasnt flowing fast enough , i read back what to do , it did say jump up and down and run on the spot to warm.up the body and blood will flow better , that was suppose to be done before you prick your finger you should have seen my bedroom , it was a crime scene ,blood spattered over all the walls dressing tables , mirrors , you name it , it got every where , jesus i didnt think i had that much blood in me lol

Lesson learned for next time

Tut tut. The instructions say to make sure to watch the YouTube video, as it makes it 10 times easier
