Heading for the hills of Donegal this weekend & was hoping some of the local people might be able to recommend some nice places to see..I’ve heard that the beaches in the county are some of the best in the world…any hints would be appreciated!!

Southside Capital

Yes, Carrickfinn, it's 150ft away from the runway and parallel to it.

Portsalon's been voted 2nd most beautiful beach in the world. I haven't yet been there.

Definitely Inishowen, Tullagh Bay near Clonmany or Kinnegoe Bay up past Greencastle both great.

No swimming allowed at five fingers due to currents

South

I second five finger strand, was on it last week during the good weather. Parking hit and miss as narrow road but one of the nicest beaches going. Tullagh strand and dunfanaghey both lovely too. Luckily Donegal had a nice beach at every turn...enjoy your break

Raised beach at Malin head also is worth to visit but sea conditions allow to swim there two days in a year..
