We used to say if only Ireland had weather like Spain it would be perfect. We were wrong. Generally our weather is only lovely and I would prefer it to the last two weeks.

In fairness. 30° here is different to 30° in Spain. Something to do with the pressure I think.

Newry Down

The recent heatwave has been utterly exhausting; and rain will be very welcome. The plants in my rear garden are looking really parched.

For son reason, the heat really got to me today, and I took a cold bath, but having come from the cistern in the attic, the temperature was quite pleasant.

I'm really looking foward to a 10-15 degree drop in temperature; very welcome change.
