Hello Fabbers,

I got the first vaccine Pfizer a week ago but I heard with the second vaccine peoples are getting sick 1 or 2 days such like tiredness, fever etc..

Is this normal or it vary from one person to another?

We both got our second shot recently. One of us was fine though a little tired (that could have been cause it was 30c mind you). The other had a mild spike in temperature and flu like aches. But only lasted 24 hrs

We both had about 12 hours of feeling wiped out within 24-48 hours of 2nd jab.

All depends on the person. I was a bit tired after my first shot where as dee was fine apart from the sore arm. My brother, a year younger then me, got what could be classed as flu like symptoms which passed in 2 days. My mates cousin actually went temporarily deaf in one ear for three days after his shot. (a very rare side effect he was told)

Naas which is South West of Dublin

I’ve had both, no problems with the first one, just a sore arm, even less with the second one but obviously it may effect people differently.

The leaflet that you were handed with your first injection lists the common side effects.

I got pfizer I was a little tired after it but nothing crazy. Like all vaccines and medication it effects every one differently. Plus we know some like to exaggerate it too.

OP I'm sure you will be just fine

I had no reaction at all to the second one. The first one knocked me for suits though and left me with seven weeks of muscular aches and pains, as well as fatigue.

Low level stuff really though and not enough to put me off getting the second one.

Just wrap tin foil around your shoulder. It’ll be back to normal in no time

Somewhere in Co. Down

Had my 2nd one months ago .Just had a sore arm like the first one and was shattered tired the next day but I was in work doing a 12 hour shift if I was at home it probably wouldn't have been as bad. I got home after work fell straight into bed and was fine the following day.

Newry Down

The vaccination programme north of the border is much more rapid than in the South, because of supplies.

I had the first jab in March, the second in June with minimal side effects, just a headache after the second. Whether this psychosomatic or not, my breathing and energy improved within days of the first.

From discussions with a medical professional, I am sure I had Covid in late-2019, and thereafter my breathing, energy levels and general wellbeing deteriorated.

I could actually hear myself breathing; and occasionally coughed up masses of fluid.

The first jab gave my system a beneficial jolt and has markedly improved thereafter.

These vaccines are a massive benefit to humankind; the anti-vax people are a danger to society; reducing the necessary uptake that slows our progression towards an effective level of herd immunity.
