Personally speaking I wouldn't say it has been life-changing. Other non swinging or sex related events which were life changing brought me here and it has in general been a good place to build on those experiences.

This place has played a part in many big parts of my life including my divorce, and moving out of the family home, then dealing with coparenting and the impact of that, and then there is meeting the mother of two of my kids, and love of my life. Its also wasted a good proportion of time telling people they are wrong on the forums. The actual sex has been a tiny part.

Only we can change our lives. This site is just one of many tools we can choose to use, or not, on the grand journey.

I like to think using Fab has given me the skills and experiences I was looking for. And ive learnt and grown as a person as much from what ive put into the site as from what Ive gotten out of it.

I think you take from the site what you want.

For me it hasn't been life changing Yes it allowed me to meet people and I've made some amazing friends since I joined here and had some amazing sex as well,and while I had been celibate for a good while before I joined here I wouldn't say it's been life changing. It adds to my life and I enjoy fab most of the time but mostly my day to day life is the same as ever.

I was on another two sites before joining Fab; the others were disappointing to put it politely; most of the profiles were fake or way out-of-date; and some contacts wanted to move off site immediately and had alternative agendas.

This site is very well structured and managed, and although it is possible to participate without payment, being a site supporter is better.

These are extraordinary times, in terms of personal travel and contact restrictions, double-vaccinations, long Covid phenomena, etc.

Involvement is a long-term project that may come to fruition next year; patience is required.

In the meantime, the forums are stimulating, good fun and the alternative sexual interests of like-minded people foreshadows some stimulating interactions when this crisis inevitably abates in 2022 and beyond!

Tartan, I was told a long time ago by a wise old person, everything in moderation including moderation itself. At the time I didn’t fully understand it but looking back it was sage advice.

Like thousands of others with a single male profile I sent hundreds of messages which went nowhere . But people are not obliged to chat to me , have coffee with me or have sex with me . If these are the parameters that determine my self esteem then I wouldn’t get out of bed . Meets here are an icing not a starting point I suppose and life outside of fab should be the cake . In my opinion anyway

I've never understood the hundreds of messages approach. I know that is possibly over a period of time but in 4 years here I can honestly say my message sent total is still in double figures.

As I've said before I don't make first contact anymore but even when I did I did a lot of reading between the lines before deciding whether or not to message and yes I've had messages not read or not replied to but that's the nature of the site.

I travel a lot . I mean a lot, with work. Not just in Ireland but the U.K. also . Was always very interested in couples primarily but also single female profiles. Some interactions would be over 3-4 messages until it became clearer that things wouldn’t progress . When you multiply that up triple figures is right .
