"Alternating heat and cold, ibuprofen if you need pain relief. Personally, I have found osteopathy far superior to physio. " Depends what's causing the problem. If it's bony impingement then yes, osteo or even chiro at a pinch. If it's because of muscle weakness/activation issues, then a physio that incorporates CARS.

Everyone is out of place and a trip to a good chiropractor can be a game changer, doesn’t hurt, feels odd but I have found it works.

" Gangsters in my opinion, and can do more harm than good depending on the root cause I've spent several years salary on my back problems between chiro, physio, osteo, accupuncture and two major surgeries It's important you get a diagnosis of the issue, one session with a good physio or osteo should do this, then decide on treatment. In my case I was eventually told surgery was the only option but most can avoid this

"Osteopathy involves manipulation and massage of the musculoskeletal system. I have also tried chiro, to no avail. Osteopathy works for me, everyone is different but I personally rate it well above physio (have had different issues treated by both) " I found that those treatments also depend on the person providing it. I had my back neatly sorted with a chiropractor, then the pandemic came and there was a reshuffling of personnel and the new lady is just not doing it for me.

" Of course, it depends on the skills and experience of the practitioner. My osteo is like a therapist, I feel better mentally and physically after seeing her

In my case I was eventually told surgery was the only option but most can avoid this" 3 years ago an MRI showed I had serious issues with bulging discs and trapped nerves. I couldn't walk more than 50m without having to stop because if the pain. I couldn't stand in one place for more than a minute without looking to sit down. Surgery was recommended and I tried most therapies from osteopathic to acupuncture and nothing worked until I had a couple of sessions of amatsu massage and she sorted me. I couldn't believe it, getting up in the morning and able to walk without pain. Yesterday, I helped dig a grave for a neighbour, something impossible 3 years ago. Having said all that there is no guarantee I won't need the surgery at some stage.. Lee

Its very hit and miss but usually 2 to 3 physio sessions would kind of sort me for a 6 to 8 months again but im waiting for a call for an mri with nearly two years now that i was recommended to go for by my doctor
