Consider hiring a boat on the Shannon or the larger lakes, like Erne, Derg. Fantastic break, really relaxing, you can pull in anywhere, no problem with naked sunbathing or more as you can move around. No Europeans so ideal for this year.

Limerick

Kerry, Cork, Galway all beautiful in parts and loads to do and explore while you are there.

Unfortunately, hotel prices are through the roof at the moment from what I've seen (and spent in Galway!).

If you can find affordable accomodation then most activites and places of interest are free.

If you qualify in the Community Games, then you get a week long stay in Mosney.

I've recently done Kerry, 17-hour rain a day and could only stare into ceiling in a house because of that as do outdoor activities. I'll go to Sligo later this year.
