Because there were over 2000 new cases in Scotland after the England game and the NHS claim there is a direct link to a surge and the number of people watching the Euros in pubs

It’s a very difficult balance . There is an argument they would tolerate a brief lockdown more easily than us having had some respite. It’s difficult maintaining compliance for 2 years

But yeah they are not a great advert for how to handle this thing

My daughter just went and booked tickets for a pub in Wembley to watch the match on Sunday night. They are only allowing 350 inside and same outside. Ffs how stupid can they be? She had covid in December already. Just cant tell people these days.

I am shocked at the crowds at wimbledon to be honest but it is a 'test event' i believe

"You will be required to show proof of COVID status upon entry in the form of:

And what of those not in hospital but with long covid (long term effects). Some of those are still in and out of hospital with lung issues etc for over a year. Others with long covid have more minor effects but still best avoided. Many are considering the over 5000 that have died in the Republic but its in the tens of thousands those with debilitating long term effects.

In some ways its like when they talk all the time about the numbers of those that died on the roads, what of the many more in road accidents that have lost limbs, are paralysed etc etc. Are they not important 'statistics' too?...

So ya wanna use road deaths as discussion..if government were so concerned about road deaths ... what have they done to reduce it ... cause they have increased ... so seems those statistics aren't important enough to Gov and ourselves to address.

. do we go into lockdown meaning less people on roads less deaths... this disease is real but every government is treating as Flu by use of words so if that is how its to be why aren't we just living with it... Stats are stats they can be interpreted in many ways. We don't live in a risk free world either ya get on living or live in fear...I for one not.living in fear
