Events for the less verified members

Anybody ever thought of organising a group event for the members that aren’t so well verified or maybe newcomers?

The major events seem to be only for the elite and well verified/well known which is fair enough.

But I’m sure there’s people here that haven’t a hope of getting an invite, or find it hard to get meets (myself included)

I’m based in Tipperary and would be up for discussing this and maybe organising something if there’s enough interest. Maybe a social event even to start with. Would be a good way to get people out there and get some verifications too I reckon.

Obviously there would have to be some sort of vetting process to cut out the fakes.

Interested in hearing peoples opinions or let me know if anyone would be up for helping to organise something

A few lovely ladies organised a social for unverified guys a year or two ago and the abuse they received was shocking. Only a few turned up , its a good idea but from chatting to a few social organisers sometimes not worth the grief

Realistically there's only two reasons someone can't get a social meet

1. Due to their own behaviour (this could be down to a vast number of reasons too)

2. Covid plays a big part currently.

I wouldn't place a verification from a social meet over my own opinions of the same person based on my interactions with them. So I do often feel that people who don't have (m)any verifications place a bigger importantance on them then they actually have on fab.

Important to also remeber the people when are well verified stared out with no verifications too. They became well verified because they focused on the importance point one above.

A non verified man planned an event like this in the Dublin area last year pre covid. It was pointed out he would need verified people there or it would be completely pointless if no one could verify anyone else.

Two women offered to attend to help out and they asked for a verified man to accompany them. I said I would go and got in touch with the organiser.

His response was to block me and he didn't respond to either of the women and the event never happened.

We tried this before in Cork also... there is almost zero interest from the unverified once they realise nothing sexual is gonna happen.

Bit odd that

I wasn’t particularly thinking all non verified people but in general people with a few verifications at least, more so as a helping hand to rack up a few more verifications as verifications seem to be pretty helpful here. Obviously having a few well verified people there would be a help. It could also just be a local ish thing rather than big scale

It wouldn’t have to be strictly a social event either, could be a whatever people feel comfortable with event with the possibility of having fun too

That's tricky as the venue for these things is usually a bar or function room. Its best to have separate social and play events really.

Air B&B or hotel bar? People would have the option of staying overnight if things got a little hot

by a lake with my rod out

A lot of non verified people are bottlers or have no actual interest in meeting socially first.

Now if it was a playing type party then you'd be over run with people wanting to go but the same problem 99% would bottle it and chicken out.

It's not worth the time and effort sorting an event for non verified people

And finally I'm not sure if it's a thing anymore but the press/tabloids used to love to get stories on Irish swinging events/partys etc and they would of course be unverified not meet/play verified.

So again it's not worth it

Jaythekidd planned an event like this about 4 years back, had about 25 lads to go to it.

Not a single one showed up

Nada

In theory its a great idea but absolutely will not work, if you are a single guy on here and not verified pre covid times within a couple months, you are the problem not the scene

if you're a lad on here after signing up in normal times (non covid), it's an absolute minefield. Will you get a meet? of course but you could be lucky and get one inside a couple of weeks or you could have to wait months. alot of it is luck. you could send lovely polite opening mails and get nowhere. alot of men have standards on here and the pool of women in the big scheme of things is tiny. often patience runs out. you also have some women been awkward who want this that and the other before a meet will be considered, one eg is veris from others. we all started in the one place, remember that. if, as a man you're looking for pure no strings fun, I'd try elsewhere before here. you more then likely will have alot more enjoyment.

Plenty of these events have been held and some included unverified people been invited to give them the chance to get that verification they wanted.. Some showed up others didn't and hadn't even the decency to send a message to say sorry I can't be there.. I've hosted such nights and they have been hit and miss.

I always thought for a first meet it would be a social, especially for an unverified account. Not sure if couples or women have certain views on men with social verifications from men.

I had to hide my verification summary for a couple of months as it took that long to get it removed.

That's actually fairly common though. I was at an outdoor fab event 3 years ago with 20 people. The next day I got a veri from a man who was definitely not at the event. He also verified half of those in attendance but no-one know who he was. That was bad enough in itself but he verified me as a very sexy lady and he looked forward to spending more time with me.

I had to hide my verification summary for a couple of months as it took that long to get it removed.

His own profile had a dozen or so veris all from women and couples in England.

How did u get rid of it? I’ve been verified by 2 people I’ve never met! They figured if they verified me I would leave them one in return

As far as I know, if you block them the veri disappears "

I tried that but it still showed on the summary as verified by 1m

I must get verified myself, it's my own fault for not making the attempt. What about a group Zoom call or is a in person social meet better.

If you do decide a social meet, add me into it Paul, I'm from Cork but can travel. Hopefully they will let things open a bit more.

I personally think it should be an in person social meet

We tried to organise an event for newbies. It fell through due to overwhelming abuse.

We organise meet and greets for meet verified members though. One meet veri is usually enough for us (as long as it doesn't seem fake).

Never even thought about some kind of "elite" members.

People who genuinely want to come are welcome to come.

We do have a little vetting system of our own though- if anyone is too pushy, too standoffish or in any way unpleasant through general interaction with others

- they get uninvited and their ticket money back without second chances.

The abuse thing seems to be a regular occurrence, which I don't get. Is it because people are not invited that they react that way?

Lucan

I organised a meet & greet for a Friday evening after work some years ago (just shocked myself to realise it was in 2014). Some popular ladies who I had met for coffee said they would attend and this attracted some other ladies and a few couples along with a large number of single guys to look for invites.

All of the ladies and couples and a good number of the single guys actually turned up. I considered the evening to be a success.

I made some new friends through this event. Unfortunately most of these ladies and couples have left the site and, consequently their verifications were deleted, as you all probably know once someone becomes unlos all the verifications they post are deleted.

It certainly is stressful organising such an event but it can be done and can be successful and enjoyable.

If anyone wants to chat about the process of organising an event please pm me.
