So many new profiles, which is great. Seen a few mentioning - looking for a 'date' or suggesting they've tried the usual sites so 'thought give this one a go' But do these newbies really get the concept of swinging I wonder? I'd never first off think of it as a dating site.

Like everyone else, I joined fab to meet like minded women for naughty no strings attached fun and a few laughs.

I'm on the mainstream dating sites in the hope I can meet and marry a wealthy woman who has a weak heart.

Agreed!

Also, what people are looking for on Fab changes over time. Wether it be a poly relationship or casual sex. As long as their expectations are clearly stated on their profile there's no harm done.

Swinging which might actually lead to dating if you get along great with the female and meet regulary! So nothing wrong with them putting that in their profiles!

I think fabbers can put what they like on their profile without any obligation to amend it if and when they adjust their expectations. Its a free and open country !!

Even though this is classed as a" swingers " site there are a lot of people here that arent interested in actually swinging, wont meet married or attached ,they are here to meet other singles to have sex with , and there are those that have met others here and are now dating ..so who knows what can happen when two stars collide here.

Just because the site has a certain name. It's up to each person how they use it..Having been on here over 12 years. Ive enjoyed regular meets and know people who met here and are now married..Its the ones that treat this place like a text a ride site that need to realise its got different uses for everyone. Each to their own.

People use the site for whatever suits them, at least by saying they want to date , you can avoid them if its not what you are looking for?

I know "date" in the traditional sense means taking someone out for a bit of romancing. Not what the initial intention of this site was or is, given the name. But many different people, many different uses...

I personally have to admit that I cannot stand the term "meet". It implies meat, cattle mart, Copperface Jacks mentality of quick and meaningless hookups. Been there, done that. I'm into sex with a connection, even if it's NSA.

And I may very well have that slip of the tongue when arranging a "meet" and say "it's a date" when I know full well, it's not a date in the traditional sense. But it's a particular day chosen in a particular week at a particular time to meet for whatever, a coffee, a meal, a fuck, passionate sex, whatever...

And for those who are free and single, what's wrong with keeping an open mind, should you actually be lucky enough to find a like-minded soul whom you can have a bit of fun with outside of the sexual aspect. I always think it's about honesty and communication. Setting boundaries and if goal posts change, discussing those...

There was a thread here recently where couples were saying where they met and I'd say 90% of the responses were that they met on Fab.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with looking for a date on Fab, just the same as there's nothing wrong with looking for casual sex on Tinder - as long as you're upfront about it.
