I was going to start it tonight but the golf is on.

The problem I have with all the ads is that Sky are pushing the line about finding the truth

Without even watching it you known they're not going to because nobody can be sure if Bailey did it or not

Yes it is a completely different crew ....think they worked with her family on it

As it happened so long ago, they won't be unearthing anything new

The family are blinded by it at this stage and it makes a mockery of the French justice system

Hopefully it shines light on the disgrace an Garda were and how they have faced zero consequences

Is it just me or does Ian baley come across a complete alcoholic and like someone with multiple personalities and a complete nutcase?

I have no idea whether or not he did it, but I can't imagine anyone with that case and notoriety hanging over them for decades would be unscathed by the experience....

I won't watch it, frankly the case has been dug over to death at this stage, are more documentaries "revealing" absolutely nothing new really necessary?

I'm not familiar with this story at all and had to Google it. I might watch it for that reason only.

Jim Sheridan was in radio this morning about it and he hinted that some information will come out that isn't known.

All I know from watching the first two episodes is my heart goes out to her parents, not knowing what happened their beautiful daughter.

I did follow the case and frankly I do feel there were a lot of issues that weren’t addressed, lots of rumours and I still want to know how did he know so many details about the body and how she died.

Ian Baley was a heavy drinker and very eccentric, he denied knowing her but was introduced to her by his friend.

I do believe the investigation was compromised from day one, not even the state pathologist arrived until 24 hours later.

It’s the poor woman’s son and family my heart breaks for our “Garda” failed them.

Have a listen to the podcast West Cork. Very good. So much more to this case than was ever let out, some terrible police handling of forensic evidence also

Watched it enjoyed it. I dont believe ian bailey murdered her felt terrible for poor jules when jim sheridan was going through the hate mail sent to them. She stood by him all these years, and list friends and acquaintences over her association with bailey. All i see is an excenteric character who through no fault of his own became a convenient scapegoat. The police acted terribly throughout, but the biggest blunder was the french courts taking retracted witness statements and presenting them as facts!. A good watch

A town near you

One former detective comes across as very bitter and vindictive, can't understand why the husband wasn't looked at for this as he obviously has money and powerful friends

I used to live in Durrus, it's less than 10 kilometres from the murder scene in Tooamore. There was a rumour around Sheep's Mizen head that a German lad living in the area became infatuated with Sophie Toscon Du Planter and when his advances were spurned, he murdered her. After he returned to Germany he committed suicide and confessed to murdering her in a letter he left to be read by his family.

One would think that if word of his confession got from Germany to west Cork that a police force somewhere would have heard about it?
