"A lady wank always works for me. "

Thinking of a lady wanking does it for me..

Reading or listening to music does it for me especially if its night time when I can't sleep

I'd rather stay up all night reading a good book than tossing and turning and not being able to sleep

I go to water, preferably slow moving like a small mountain river or the edge of a lake on a windy day. Slow down the world and focus on nature and the sound of the water babbling away. It’s constant, infinite and relentless. It will always be there. Trees moving in a breeze gives a similar sense of relaxation.

Switch your phone to silent more often.

On a nice day I Lay down in the garden close my eyes let the breeze blow over my body. Listening to the trees rattling and birds tweeting away. It will cool me down relax my mind and my body.

A bad day a warm bath with some vicks and lay back in the bath steam and let it clear my sinuses and feels like a good sort of detoxing.

Anything to do with nature really would be of great help to destress. Gardening walk on a beach or in a forrest or a simple chat with a friend over a coffee in a park

A cold water dip does blast the cobwebs off.

Meditation for me as well. A regular practice is a great preventative and it helps with calming down in the moment.

Or

Learn to breathe through your nose, it's very calming.

Go for a walk and just breathe through your nose.

Don't let stress get, from my experience, alot of aches and pains are brought on by stress.

A paddle is worse than a dip if it's cold! You need to get your whole body in to adjust

I tolerate no nonsence whatsoever from anyone; if anyone attempts to cause me any aggravation I outline my case succinctly and terminate any contact; I ensure that I have lots of options within my many fields of interest and temporary increases in stress are dissipated with long strenuous walks.

I used to be concerned about other people's opinions (of me) but now I am unmoved by anything they say or do.

Life is very good; I am grateful for what I have; I live within my means and I empathise with those less fortunate than myself.

A##holes, mutters, bullies, thugs, users, idiots, thickos, manipulators, abusers and distorted thinkers occupy no facet of my life; I have learned from the stress of long distant experiences.

" I used to be concerned about other people's opinions (of me) but now I am unmoved by anything they say or do."

Very similar views on most of what you have said, but I struggle with the above. Surely you are concerned with the opinions of those closest to you, those whom you respect? Don't you question yourself if they strongly disagree with you? I certainly do and have often changed opinions on things as a result. Are you that closed minded? I'm just playing devils advocate here, not criticising you in any way

My overall philosophy is to 'keep it simple'; I have worked, socialised, lived, witnessed and endured thousands of different situations, some of which you would not believe, although totally true.

The one thing I currently miss is an alternative lifestyle that has been temporarily interrupted by personal circumstances and a pandemic!

The medication if you really must.

I've been quite stressed lately and I keep thinking there is no way meditation will help this now. And it dose. If you truly go for it and commit to it it dose. It's maddness.

Remind yourself of the stable things in the world that are completely unaffected by what is stressing you.

Maybe that's reminding yourself that no matter how shitty your day is, you'll go home to your family. Maybe that's swimming in the sea. Maybe it's a good solid friendship. Maybe it's being close to nature.

But we all need something to remind ourselves that most things we stress about are temporary and totally not worth the mental energy we give them
