The greens suck a big one but at least in theory you can get behind the green message..

How anyone da fuk can get behind FG or FF is beyond my thinking capacity

They literally hate you! But people still think they're the bolloxs.

Ireland should be divided into these two categories:

1) People who vote for Fianna Fail, Fianna Gael, watch The X Factor & watch Love Island.

2) People who are allowed to vote

Anyone who thinks it’s any sort of an idea to vote for either of those parties should be taken out into the street and shot with balls of their own shite

Einstein said doing the same thing over and over again and expect different results is insanity, the current or previous Govt aren't fit for purpose and have proven this, yet the greater majority vote for them.

They selection process is a popularity contest and there is no entry or educational criteria required.

Unless this is changed, the results will stay the same.

I find it scary that anyone would vote for a party with a private army! Just because the others arent up to much doesnt justify voting for them as an alternative

As for gangsters and mafiosa, that’s who has been running the country since the creation of the free state

Don't have any time for politics.. Think all politicians are liars.. They make election promises and once in power they do the opposite.. All we are voting for is who gets a tds salary that's it.. Doesn't matter who gets voted in nothing will change..

The current goverent made shady as fuck deals just to remain in power. They're literally opposing sides on a civil war and now their in bed together. I despise politics in this country, its all so corrupt and the greedy f*cks are bleeding every cent out of the taxpayer with their expenses and crap

I think SF should just get into power and prove everyone how utterly useless they will be so their supporters will STFU.

They are only any use in opposition.

Its important to remeber that Ireland is only in it's infancy when it comes to being an independent, self-governing country. The driving motivation and attraction to vote for political parties has been based largely on civil war positions and family allegiance rather than social or economic issues.

We have finally seen the two socially and economically near identical parties, FG and FF finally join government together for the first time. Which is bizarre when you think about it.

But that is the best thing that could have happened for everyone. I think we will now start seeing a clear split between the left and right which can only be a good thing for voters.

Agreed, but that's going down another rabbit hole! We will just call it the "Irish left".

After 100 years of failure, cronism, nepotism, selling out, ripping off etc I'd happily give the Irish left a chance. What could possibly go wrong as FF/FG did already everything in the book to ram this country into the ground.

Unfortunately the kind of ramming nobody enjoys.

I'd happily give them a chance as well. But I wouldn't expect them to do well either. I think it would be a disaster but also a disaster that needs to happen for the Irish left to become a proper, normal left wing grouping.

THIS! The problem is they have said some very silly things in opposition and are going to have a real issue if they want to try and stick to their guns. There will be backtracking and uturns on weekly basis.

Last year when SF has a big spend on public and affordable housing the elites among us declared that it was in the realm of fantasy, made no sense and could never be achieved.

Yep weeks ago the ESRI came along and basically backed the SF vision.

The ESRI are in the ra, obviously.

The politicians change but its the same old story. They don't have enough cash to do what they say they will.

It's the same everywhere. Unless SF can get a big majority of votes which under Pr is very difficult then its going to be a mess of parties with different agendas trying to get on with it.

Only thing we do know we will have to pay more tax to pay for all the last 15 months and it don't matter who in power.
