Working, bringing junk from the shed to the dump, bringing other stuff to charity shop, having my ex mother-in-law over for dinner. Helping my middle child move into her summer lodgings. Furniture shopping.

Thankfully next weekend is ours alone for a trip away

Bank holiday was last week up here and I was working on Monday but apparently the most popular activity was sitting in your car with the kids for hours on a road to nowhere.

Maybe popular is the wrong word but so many chose to do it

Are we there yet??

Well, I have, but wife said no Fucking Chance!

Probably worried I'd mix up the lube with the marinade

Sure don't they both soften the resistance?

Oh I wasn't aware it's a bankholiday weekend. Pre-covid I'd be working when everyone else is on a break. Now it's just a bit more DIY.

When do the pubs open again?

7th June outdoor only for all hospitality, no "substantial meal" nonsense

Princes Street and a few others are practically totally covered over by parasols so the weather shouldn't be an issue.. Check with the pubs first though as you may have to book for a space.. Clancys have a roof top outdoor space..

There we go that's my bank holiday Monday treat sorted: an openair pint (just hope they have changed the kegs and cleaned the pipes)
