Wouldn't place any specific limit on it I think. If I had been speaking with someone for quite a while and built up a strong connection and trust, would likely travel anywhere in the country.

Maybe an hour. Drove to Tipperary once ( Yes it is a long way hehe ) and it was a disaster. We had chatted a few times, exchanged face pics, all good. They persuaded us to upgrade to a fairly expensive hotel room but saying they would go half, and they would leave afterwards and we could stay the night. We had a beer or two in hotel bar and they went for a "smoke". Still waiting on them to return. They left fab not long afterwards.

It was awful.I had received a second pay cut not long before so we couldn't really afford it. But we just tried to make the most of it. Had a few drinks and enjoyed what was a lovely room in a lovely hotel. Another slight downer was the room was advertised as having a jacuzzi. Which was one reason the guy pushed it. It turned out to be a normal sized bath with water jets. lol. We didnt even use it.

My first fab meet I was soooo naive I travelled 3 hours to West of Ireland. I booked the hotel I was happy to go halves I always pay my way. So it's a pretty disappointing meet. He left to go check on his dogs and get cash out to pay for the room. He insisted he was going to pay for the room as I had travelled so far. I sat their twiddling my thumbs for quite a few hours before I realised he was never coming back! You do learn a few harsh lessons on the Fab journey!

I once drove 2 hours for a meet had house number and street name turned up at door as planned only to find a guy answer the door who had a young family behind him. He knew nothing about any meet I could see that from his face so legged it down the road. Bet the other houses in his street had a good laugh. I was glad I parked few streets away and it was dark.

No limit really. Just the further ones I'd obviously need to try set aside more time off work. I've happily made a couple of 1.5-2 hour trips for a cuppa.

I'm lucky enough to live not a million miles from the M50 which makes most trips to anywhere much easier. Anyway, who's about

Another related consideration is that I would never play too close to home; for the right prospective meet with a single fem, a 2-3 hour car journey would not be a problem.

For a group meet, particularly over a weekend, there would be no limit.

BUT, bearing in mind the numbers of no shows, last minute cold feet, bluffers, etc., there would need to be an extended period of communication beforehand to mitigate disappointments.

A follow on meet from a first contact in a club or other social setting, seems to work best.

I spend a lot of time on the road and I was up in Belfast last week for some work and I arranged to meet a lady for coffee. I've had a previous meet in Newry just before Covid hit. I met someone in Westport when on Staycation in Connemara. I've also met locally. Had arranged a meet in Athlone over Christmas-she was going to travel from Galway but Mick Martin put us into lockdown so it didn't happen.

If the chemistry is there no issue traveling, normally would try and be visiting and grab a coffee. So went to a mng in belfast , met guy for coffee.

One afternoon drove to westmeath in full stockings suspenders and dress , had a couple hours of fun and than back home after.

Drove to athlone today for a coffee

5 miles can take an hour or it can take 10 minutes in right or wrong traffic conditions.

I wouldn't travel nor I would want anyone to travel to meet me any more than 10 miles. With travelling come expectations, with expectations come dissapintments.
