Has anyone noticed the surge in fake accounts? theres so many on this now, I look on my timeline and you don't even have to lookup the pics to know there fake, even some photo verified profiles too...

If you can notice them , then it should be easy to avoid them.

A few tips

Set up filters to block newbies from messaging you.

Don't message new profiles esp ones that seem too good to be true

That 20 something nympho that messages you first is probably a man

I'd argue there's probably less fake accounts in recent months than there used to be. At least in my area and covered by my local updates.

This time last year there were at least 4 or 5 a day but that's down to 4 or 5 a week now.

I don't worry about them because I never engage with them.

I'd be more concerned with fake people than fake profiles.

There's always been fakes on here. They are easy enough to spot tho .

And usually a new woman's profile that is full on and Amazing pics from the get go is usually fake and pictures taken from other sites.

Like others have said using filters helps a lot with them and anyone who messages me with pics I'm suss about I reverse image and quite often they show up and I've found quite a few guys use others images as well it's not just women profiles that do. So far I've had an Italian model and a Russian gymnast and also a rich business man/model contact me in recent months

There sadly have been Fake accounts here on Fab since virtually day one of site but I don't think there's lots more due to lockdown etc although there may be an influx of people having a nosey at Fab and what goes on here.

Some of these accounts have been set up by the same persons on many occasions too as you could see certain styles and similar false pics.

It is a pain in the arse to be chatting with someone to then find out they are fake but sadly its the way of life not just here on Fab but in most online contact sites.

You just have to hope that anyone you're chatting with is genuine and try to establish some form of contact early on in chat to establish that fact

On a serious note yes there are fakes on here but you learn how to spot them fairly easily with experience

I think every one misses the point about fake profiles .I doubt this site is unlike any other .They post there own to make the numbers look good .I have tried to chat to dozens .I am sure there are not that many rude people around that dont have the manners to reply .and they were all on 5 mins ago !!!!!
