Elaine Austin could probably do with one tbh...

Great cause and great to raise awareness but it's also the first year I haven't donated anything to it

So how much do you think the ceo of a company should get paid?

I did the walk this morning had 5 am whether we agree with the salaries the ceo of these charities get, this country is rife with suicide. We need to remove the stigma around mental health and suicide. We need to know we can ask for help without been ridiculed ( how often do people post here and nasty comments are made,) noone can't rule know what someone us going through and how close they may be to just giving up.

You never know how one simple text or call can save someone.

My door is always open to anyone that may just need someone to sit with me, no judgement etc

That's a pretty broad question.

There are so many factors. Where does the companies finance come from, how is the company performing, what are the structures below the CEO like....

A mostly publicly funder organisation that has had to receive further bail outs and at the risk of closing some of its serviced I think 120k basic is over paying

Its not about a ceo of a company.its about someone able to talk to someone when they need to. someone should feel alone.

Well done DD that weather was horrible fair dues!

I agree it's always good to talk but equally important to listen. Most important thing though be kind!!

You never know what someone is going through. I am always here to listen.

Whilst I agree we need the likes of these charities that help orhers. The amount of money that actually feeds down to those who need the help is at times shocking. There should be an obudsman set up to oversee charities if there isnt one already. Salaries should be capped in line with the turn over of any charity. I have helped numerous charities over the years by actually going and doing what was needed to be done i.e getting my hands dirty. Painting ,digging gardens, talking to people face to face. It makes me sick to the pit of my stomach that these ceo's earn this amount of money.

I didn’t get to do it this year and I should have. This post shouldn’t be about the ceo. I have been up and down the last few months but I feel I’m coming out at the right side of it now.

Let’s keep this post about letting people know there is help out there. Be it a help line or a friend. We all have friend or two that is always there even if you think no one is.

My inbox is always open and no one will ever be judged.

I was in Howth at 430am this morning...loads of people walked in the terrible weather...no matter the charity the starting CEO wage is about €145000,

It's bench marked against senior civil service salaries...of the charities I have volunteered with the CEO's earn their pay cheque...if you want good people in the job you have to pay.
