After a very unlucky fall where my phone slipped out of its cover and smashed my screen, I've had to spend some €€ to get it partially fixed. Its at a stage where getting it fully fixed is not worth it. I've had my phone for 4 years now and was wondering how long you guys keep your phones before getting a new one?

I get a new one every year but its a company phone so not paying for it

I give my old ones to my kids and they say they slow down after about 3 years

I feel like they purposely slow down phones with updates and what not to make you buy a new one

What type of phone was it? I had a Samsung s4 tbat lasted 4 years and now my s8 also 4 years
