According to reports Leo has suggested that August is likely to be the end of restrictions and indoor drinking in pubs can happen. If this is true then it's time to get cracking on meet and greets, parties, orgies etc etc

Personally I think there will be another surge in covid come September if travel abroad is allowed.

I don't think a surge in cases will cause another lockdown but a surge in hospitalisations will and if by August enough people are vaccinated then that shouldn't happen. But it is at least something to look forward to

You cannot take seriously anything Leo or any of them says. Leo can't stay out of the limelight and makes these sound bites as part of trying to stay relevant. As one cynic recent suggested-he is the most vocal of any Tanaste we have ever had.

They don't know because it hasn't been in existence long enough to know beyond that.

Look at the Seychelles, over 60% vaccinated and they are gone back into lockdown

Agreed but if their vaccinated it shouldn't be an issue. It will have little no effect, that is if we get enough vaccinations.

It'll be almost a year and a half by then, but I truly think we'll see the end of lockdowns

South Dublin Area

Still huge amount of daily cases but with the vulnerable now vaccinated for most part, hospital numbers continue to drop down.

daily cases shouldnt matter. 78% under 40. whole idea is vaccinate and then get life back to normality. the problem is when will people be freely allowed overseas on holiday?

Too right , I've stuck to the guidelines since the start. If they even hint at a lockdown I'm staging a coup

Man the vaccination centres 24 hrs a day and get people processed bring on the day we have mass vaccinated the majority of people living here but i do think we need to monitor new entrants into out society for a long time to come after that history will tell us this pandemic was nourished by the amount of people that could freely and easily move around the world.
