"On a very serious note, there appears to be a pyromaniac operating in the Bloody Bridge area of the Mournes; two recent massive fires have destroyed a vast swathe of heather, and also probably a lot of valuable fauna and other flora. The burnt ground is like a wasteland and this deep burning facilities soil erosion. These fires cannot be accidental; they always start in the same area and spread over thousands of acres; climate change is exacerbating the problem. To date no human life has been lost, but..."
