Watched today as a traffic warden gave a ticket to a particularly rude and obnoxious customer of mine. And couldn't help but think

Karma's a b*tch!!! Couldn't have happened to a nicer asshole

So have you ever taken a front row seat and watched Karma play out right in front of you?

Cousin of mine threw a golf ball at me when we were young.. I ducked, it bounced off a wall and hit him in the mouth loosening a front tooth. Dunno if that's karma or just an accident

Back in the 80's as an 17 yr old apprentice you were treated like shit on sites

The bosses son was a prick who'd actually give me digs if I got stuff wrong and manys the day I'd disappear to have a cry somewhere on the site and I'd be Black and Blue

Fast forward 20 odd years and I walked into a electrical supplies company to hear his voice calling the young woman serving him a cunt for getting stuff wrong.

He was late getting to a site because of it and his van was very overloaded with supplies

I walked back out to my car,took out a snips,cut the valves off all his tyres and parked a bit away to watch his face change from shock to fury

The 17 yr old me was so happy on the inside

Some people are their own Karma in life. Just sit back and watch. People trip up over their own crap.It's a great spectator sport as the Ma would say...

. And she generally mutters "Gobshite when she sees it in action.

Revenge or willing bad Karma on someone is not my bag. However....Due recompense comes from a life lived well. Paddle your own boat and sing a happy song.

Many years ago my dad got a call from a very distressed elderly neighbour (war hero) who was inconsolable. Apparently he'd politely asked a nearby neighbour or his if he could move his Luton van because it was blocking the light and the view from his front room window where he spent virtually all his time. Instead of complying, the guy tore into him with lots of awful verbal abuse and physical intimidation which really stunned the old boy who was in his 80's. Anyway a few days later I took his usual evening meal up to him and he was feeling so much better because the van was no longer parked outside all the time. When I got home I told my dad all this and he said he'd been up there the evening the incident happened and slashed all the van's tyres. The guy never parked there again.

I was told the story of an apprentice who had the usual pranks played on him. These included things like going to stores and getting a long stand. The storeman, in the know, would then get him to stand over there for a long time. There'd be the 'get some sky hooks' and various other ridiculous requests that the young lad had no experience of.

Anyway, he was asked by the foreman, or someone more senior, to get some glass nails. Obviously another stupid and impossible task. However, the lad had a relative who ran a small glass making business so got in touch. A few days later he presented glass nails and a substantial invoice to the person who had requested the nails.

No pranks were played on the apprentice again. I really do hope the story is true.

After years of making proposals to my then employer only to have them dismissed I walked away from that company to take up a new job.

I had worked for them in various roles for over 30 years and could do my job blindfolded and with both hands tied behind my back which they were most of the time due to their stubborn attitude.

They made no attempt to convince me to stay but within 6 months and with 3 other existing staff members trying and failing to do what I had done they implemented most of my proposals.

However none of the others had my unique mix of experience in sales and logistics so they split the role between the three who hadn't been able to to it all by themselves.

Two of those quit within a year due to stress and even when I lost the new job last year as a result of Covid restrictions I refused to return simply because of the lack of appreciation.

I get regular messages from others asking on behalf of the directors if I would come back and help but like the title says. Karma is a b*tch so no chance.
