Unless he has used CGI to improve his daughters poor acting then it's still a shocker!

The boxset tells the story chronologically like the book!

Starting off in Corleone with young Vito.... Fucking epic

I've never seen any of the Star Wars films and have very little interest in watching them at any stage.

I watched Casablanca and my only thought was "is that fucking it? Is that what people rave about as a classic?" I thought it was a load of shite.

Musicals... What the fuck? The whole concept loses me. Songs in a film are one thing but breaking into song when a car runs over your dog, or something similar, just doesn't strike me as being in any way realistic.

I think people sometimes don't just enjoy the movies. Fir me I've been a huge fan and I really miss the cinema. When I go see a movie I " switch off" it's make believe, its about sitting back and enjoying the laughs, crying at the sad bits, screaming at the scary bits, watching cars fly through the sky, the good guys killing the bad guys and getting the girl.

There's the awe and amazement at how it's done, I studied sfx makeup and I love watching movies or even TV shows wondering how they achieved the sfx effect etc.

I remember going to see Top Gun with my mum. I remember watching one of the nightmare on Elm Street movies and been petrified. Watching the first Fast abd Furious and thinking Vin Diesel was hot as hell, watching The Great escape nearly jumping out of my seat hoping he'd get away. Crying at titanic at the loss of so many people because of a difference in class and willing rose to move over and let Jack up beside her.

The Goonies the adventure of a lifetime, Up where I hope someday to experience a love like no other.

Tomb Raider wishing could be as sexy as Angelina Jolie.

If you get the box set it starts in date order.

If you watch just as individual movies, you don't see young Vito until part 2.

The boxset is awesome, until it gets to the final chapter that is

Probably loads for me. I've never seen any of the Godfather movies, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Kill Bill and there's lots of classic westerns too as I've a real aversion to them. Disney movies too.

On the flip side, I've seen loads of classic war movies both old & more recent, and the old classic musicals (recent ones not so much)

Movies are escapism pure and simple so there are very few classic movies I haven't seen but there are very few movies that I've watched more than once.

The only one that comes to mind that I haven't watched from start to finish is Schindlers List.

I seen most of it in chunks but never taken the time to watch it fully.

I have never seen:

Any Star Wars films

Casablanca

Citizen Kane

Any James Bond films made during the last 25 years

Any Hammer horror films

Most other horror films, except Carry on Screaming!

Most A. Hitchcock films

A Clockwork Orange

Any Monty Python films

But, I could almost quote verbatim every line from Fred Zinneman's classic:

The Day of the Jackal,

a masterful film in which a clock face is seen in an extraordinary number of scenes.

There are 4 versions of a Star is Born. The one with Judy Garland is the second one and not the original which was made in 1937 with Frederic March.
