Some great recommendations already. The Mission, saw the film, bought the soundtrack cassette tape (yeah cassette tape! ) & still have the framed poster. Cinema Paradiso is a brilliant film & the soundtrack is too. I remember seeing Rocky Horror in Harold's Cross... with water pistols confetti, lads in stockings & sussies n'all - eye openers in those days. Ferris Buelle & the Breakfast Club were real coming of age films with great soundtracks but Dirty Dancing and it's soundtrack have lasted the best imho.(btw if you haven't seen it look out for the documentary on Patrick "Buddy" Swayze on Sky... or somewhere... and bring a box of tissues.

If I could recommend another one, try The Big Chill - good film, excellent cast (probably very dated now though) and a great soundtrack.

I think it’s all dependent on my mood.

Most recently I can think of YouTubing:

Streets of Philadelphia, from the movie Philadelphia - Bruce Springsteen

Unchained melody, from the movie Ghost - The righteous brothers

Rewrite the stars - The greatest showman

Take what you got - kinky boots
