Lockdown Achievements

So in contrast to the abject failure of the state to achieve anything during lockdown, I figured I would put it out to the ppl here. What has ur biggest achievement been during lockdown.

It Could be not going insane, building a life size model of the Death Star, or completing Netflix.

Mine is down 33lbs and counting. Only mildly eager to put my new body to work with somebody :p

That is impressive too, getting free of debt or more debt free is tough.

My lockdown achievement is my continued existence. Can't say sanity because what little I had is long gone.

But if u don’t have ur sanity how can u be sure of ur own existence, how can u be sure ur not a figment of someone else’s imagination. Like that move with John cusack, identity.

Well done on your weight loss.

My biggest achievement is that I've completely restructured how I work my business. I now have my self belief back and know I'll remain successful. I've done the impossible during 3 lockdowns and continuous business closures due to mine not being an essential service to actually keep my head above water and be debt free. I now know I am stronger mentally as a result of C19. Its been bloody tough at times but I'm still standing.

Well done. Some businesses have been pretty amazing during all this and I've seen some completely flip their business idea with success but also seen some that will never recover which is sad. The saying support Irish and local has never been more important.

Surviving covid 19 and 3 weeks in hospital, isolated from everyone, not being allowed to leave that room for the entire time was so hard. But I got through it, many others didn’t

Lost my job last August as a direct result of Covid restrictions. Have been helping a friend maintain his business in a casual part time capacity ever since.

Many weeks of only working one or two days and not knowing from one day to the next if there would be work or not.

By combining my knowledge and previous experience with his expertise along with grit and determination we are now breaking monthly turnover records and looking to employ more staff and the scary part is that is with 80 percent of our customers still closed due to lockdown restrictions. I would call that an achievement.

There's some seriously impressive achievements in this thread.

Only because I can relate to them more but RB and inquisitive lady I hold my hats off to you.

I've kept my company open, everybody on full wages,100% flexible hours for everyone to suit the family at home situation.

There's been a few sleepless nights but I feckin did it so far

I'm not sure its an achievement because I didn't really do much to bring it about but I have stumbled into a job offer...

Its something completely different to what I have been doing for the last 15 years but it's also pretty close to doubling my salary...

I've no idea if I am gonna take it but I'm very tempted

Fair play to everyone on this thread so far and those yet to post.

My lockdown achievement is regardless of everything that has gone on this last year , I lost my business, my marriage, my life in France etc...

And yet Im happy, happy to be back home, happy to have my dogs, happy to have spent all this time with my parents, happy to be going back to work shortly.....

Its the little things

Like yourself weightloss and muscle gain. Fitness levels seriously improved.

Guiding and helping young people through all this and managing to stay sane myself.

Taking on college and learning to sit quietly in my own company.

This has been a life changing experience and while theres lots of negatives which we all know there has been positives. If we can't find a positive its been a complete waste of a year and lifes to precious for wasted time

The biggest thing for me has been writing a book. I had started before the pandemic, but have been working on it all throughout and am waiting on what should be the final structural edit from my [freelance] editor.
