If white hair defines age I'm still a young woman so.

I agree with the lady, 38 is not old, you're in your prime age Red, enjoy it to the fullest.

I think a nice side effect of aging is the simultaneous decrease of inhibition up to the point you can't be arsed anymore by anything and feel you're free like a bird.

You're definitely not old Red .I agree with much of what is said above tho. I'm definitely happier in myself now than I was in my 20s and 30s even though I have more wobbly bits now. I think as you get older and hopefully wiser you use what life has taught you to your advantage. And also don't worry as much about what people think of you. Those who genuinely like you will be there and those that don't well it's better they are not anyhow.

I am happy as I am. I think I've just grown into my self. Apart from Covid19 I would like to press the pause button as now with my age I feel a contentment in myself. I think thats possibly an advantage of being older. I've learned through my pass mistakes. I now know when to cut people off who bring nothing to my life due to their dramas and their arguments with others. Get rid of their negativity and its an easier life all round. The past year has been tough and many tough decisions were made but that's shown me how strong I am and how I have an inner strength to deal with things. I just like where I am right now.

I never had a such panic mode when was close to my 40s.

Im closer to my 50s now, still feeling young and sexy, and do not really care what other thinks.

Its real me: Im honest (probably too brutal for many ), telling people what I really think, no b/s

What is the point to lie them?

Saying a fake compliment? Better to tell the ugly truth.

I know not for everyone but with the maturity we should accept the healthy and constructive criticism.

How people would like to improve if others saying lies?

OP, in your age there is nothing really to be worry about, once you care about your health - health condition (physical and mental) is most important. How do we look like - can always be changed with a little or hard work.

Positive thinking, good health condition no matter at what age, smiling often, and having respect to all living creatures are the most important.

Physical look is important too but ask yourself what do you value: an empty & beautiful shell or maybe not so attractive physically but beautiful soul.

I have chosen a long time ago the option #2.

I met lots of people in my life, and the ones with a beautiful soul are the most attractive to me

To be honest OP, I found my late 30s to be a difficult time. Hitting 40, I thought my best years were behind me. How wrong I was! My 40's have been the best years of my life. I'm fitter, happier and more relaxed than ever. I worry about absolutely nothing, I care little about what people (aside from close friends and family) think of me, I do things for me now. Hitting 50 in the not too distant future and have a much more positive outlook about this than when I hit 40.

The 40's is an amazing decade, especially as a woman. Look forward to it. Mrs

Wise words from To The Women by Donna Ashworth

Getting Older

Is like been given a backstage tour.

Without the lights, the sets, the music- suddenly you see the whole production for what it is .... a show.

You catch a glimpse of the "star", without make-up, getting.g ready to go home - and you realise she is not the superhuman entity you thought her to be.

She is just a person, like you.

They all are.

We all are.

The dressing rooms snell of sweat and the costumes need washing.

The sets are made of wood and hollow in the middle.

Reality exists in every corner of every life, no matter how glamorous the facade.

Getting older, is like being given a manual on life, decades too late, or perhaps, right on time?

Suddenly it all makes sense and you will no longer focus or pay attention to the wrong things, the false idols.

Getting older is been given the gift of time, even though time is running out, you value it so much more that everyone is worth a hundred.

Getting Older Is a privilege denied to many...

Grab it with both hands and seize not just the day, but the seconds.

On this long dusty highway called life I spent 49 and a bit years as a chauffeur getting everyone else where they wanted and needed to be. The only person I ever let down was myself.

Then I discovered that the rickety old vehicle I was driving had 4wd capabilities and allowed me to go off-road.

I stopped off at towns called Confidence and Self Esteem that I was aware of but never thought I would ever visit.

I am younger than I look and older than I feel.

So even now with travel restrictions I can easily switch to cruise control when needed or pull into a layby and watch the world go by knowing that new roads are just around the corner.

Contrary to popular belief I am not a founder member of the Eagles by the way.

Age was never something I thought about but in mid 40s I feel fitter and healthier now than I have in years and much more chilled. Turning 50 in a few years is not something that bothers me. Everyone would do well to remember this! Everyday we get up is a gift. I’ve made a million mistakes in my life and will probably make a million more but life is short and there is so much joy to be had.

Oh Miss red I believe getting older is a privilege. My body holds the scars and marks that tell my story. I'm thankful for them, they tell my story. The eyes need help, the hair needs colour, there's stretch marks but the brain is alive and all those fab emotions and feelings are too. This older body can run, lift weights, pull up on a bar. Not too bad for an old bird I'm very proud to be a strong, independent 45 year old. Wouldn't change a thing

Glasgow

I am proud to be classed here on Fab as old...

I know my biggest number of years may be behind me but with that it has brought me wisdom and also now great contentment..

But even as "Old" I'm still happy to be having fun on all levels here and I hope to continue doing do for many years to come...Especially after Covid
