.... about how all of Batman's Robins are young white males...

I mean ignore the homosexual implications, I'm focusing on the whiteness....

There's Dick Grayson, white. Jason Todd, white. Tim Drake, white. Damien Wayne (supposedly had an Arabic grandaddy), white. Stephanie Brown, white.

There's two men of colour in the Batfam and Bruce creates alternative crime fighting personas for them, Luke Fox becomes BatWing, and Duke Thomas becomes The Signal.

I think it's time we asked - is the Batfamily racist?

Well batman is only a rich guy with great tech and a borderline personality disorder. Superman is a god.

To make a video game analogy superman is playing on story mode. No one can hurt him and hes got infinite ammo.

Batman is playing on hard mode where you just have to grind it out.

Playing as superman does is fun but unfulfilling. It's too easy. No sense of achievement.

Playing as batman might become fun but it's a slog. It's the sort of slog you brag about on forums to your mates.

I respect batman more than superman. Batman has consequences for fighting crime. Superman might just miss a deadline for work

I think the falcon and winter soldier is looking at the race elements in comic book history a bit and its fascinating

Falcon and Winter Soldier is doing it's best and I was honestly pleasantly surprised how much leaned into it.

I was delighted they introduced Isaiah Bradley but like most things in the MCU I think his back story is going to be seriously nerfed.

Anyone who hasn't read Truth: Red, White and Black - I'd highly recommend it.

Long story short, Steve Rogers wasn't the first Captain America, they tested the Super Solider Serum on a squad on black soldiers, with Isaiah being the last surviving participant. He was sidelined in favour of the more media friendly (and white) Steve Rogers. Bradley's serum ultimately proved to be unstable and over the decades reduced his mental capacity to that of a child's. Although largely unacknowledged in the Marvel Universe he is regarded as a celebrity amongst the Black Marvel community.

A great read.

Batman is one boring character....

But what I really wanted to mention here is the the outstanding performances of catwoman by Eartha Kitt, an amazing actress, singer and activist, then the super sexy Halle Berry. And can't wait to see Zoe Kravitz in the character in The Batman on 2022
