Is it just the Irish living in Ireland that are misbehaving?

Think the majority of us are fed up with people not following guidelines but maybe they are right. We are a year into this pandemic and honestly don't seem to be any further on.

We are all at our limit..until you have a family member or friends that have really suffered or died i think it's wrong to start this topic.

We are adults..horny i know but we have to be respectful..

We also noted your tagline of 'Life is Dark'.

Maybe you need to talk to someone. if things are pressing on you, but please don't by way of transference of your anxiety put it on others; that's neither nice nor fair.

Many people on this site do take others into consideration and play by the rules.

It's also not nice coming on here for fun and seeing someone throw negativity around like it's going out of fashion. I don't think Fab was intended for people offloading onto others. So please be considerate yourself to others who come here for fun. We have enough negative nellies in government, so we don't need them in our sex life. Nobody has that right of entitlement.

If you have issues, seek help. Simple, it's 2021.

I have lost some one to covid in fact more than one. Its hard and harder not getting to say goodbye on top of not seen them because I followed the rules. But I am over it all, over the rules, over not having a life, over not seeing family and friends, over doing the "right thing" over watching those close to me suffer with their mental health, over been alone for a yr,over the we are all in this together because we are not. I'm not doing it anymore and I honestly don't care who judges me. Its easy to preach and shame ppl for living their life instead of trying to understand some ppl have reached the end of their tether in this nightmare

Gotta disagree we aren't any further on.

Yes it's shit and its going on and on but we have kept deaths down really well other than the post Christmas fuck up.

But people are getting vaccinated (slowly but it is happening) the person I feared for most over the last year has gotten theirs. I feel so much more at ease now, I will keep following guidelines for those who's high risk loved ones haven't been so lucky to get it yet.

If people are struggling and starting to break guidelines look I get it, it's not been easy and everyone really did do a great job.

All I'd suggest is that if people are going to relax their adherence dont just go nuts do it in little stages.

The vaccination is happening but way too slowly and it is so disorganised its shocking. Glad you feel at ease. I have followed the guidelines and will continue to.

We have had 3 local suicides in our community, no one died of covid in our community , we have the strictest restrictions on the planet , whatever way you look at it , the flu is seasonal and these restrictions need to be lifted, they are doing more harm than good.

The flu may be seasonal but covid isn’t. Count yourselves as privileged that there have been no covid related deaths in your community.

Or could, ya know, do a Google.

Even with restrictions - 4,713 dead in Ireland. Just over a year.

4,713 friends, brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers.

4,713 people. Gone.

No we have not had the strictest restrictions. Strict would be only being allowed out once a week for food. That's it. With Police at your door. Having to have a permit to leave your house.

Strict doesn't mean being able to go for a walk in the park,or down to the coffee shop,or a wee dander in homebase.

Its strange times we live in. The goverment cant do right by many peoples way of thinking But at the end of the day, we are going to get through this if we all stick together and follow the rules. Although many dont agree with them , they have to be adhered to . When we opened up for xmas look what happened!!. I know its hard not being able to socialise , visit family and friends, have a drink. But there is now a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. Stay strong and be resillient. The good times are nearly here.

Ridiculous comments warrant a ridiculous response.

Is there a need for the excessive drama?

Nah - but I'm feeling particularly dramatic today, so fuck it.

People are angry and fed up but what's the point in ranting about how it's being handled! We all knew our government and health service were shit before this shit show happened...why is everybody so surprised that they are making a dogs dinner of it. I think there will always be those that flaunt it but if the majority apply common sense to it then things will hopefully eventually settle. There is assistance and help lines as well as community based assistance for everyone suffering from their mental health...reach out.

Now, it's a beautiful day...step out into the sunshine

Breaking story

Taoiseach Micheál Martin breached Covid-19 public health guidelines by attending an indoor event held in honour of his late father in Cork.

While at the event Martin told an attending garda to take off her face mask for a photo opportunity.

The event at Blackpool’s Glen Boxing Club went ahead when “no organised indoor gatherings should take place” under Ireland’s level-three Covid restrictions. The event lasted 45 minutes and was attended by at least 12 people.

Well for one the monopoly related deaths would exceed the covid ones..

The government please urges the Irish people to refrain from the partaking in so called "friendly" board games.

Last night alone there were 27 mew admissions to ICU with injuries ranging from Monopoly man to the head to sever board puncture wounds

What has the flu being seasonal got to do with covid? Hay-fever is seasonal too...let's lift the restrictions! Huzzah!
