Just a heads up to couples and guys, a friend who shared their pics here with what he thought was a couple and another lady had all the private pics and messages to both shared on to local group pages and other social media. Just a reminder to be cautious

I don't share face pics here, not do I expect anyone else to. There are simply too many tossers out there

Most of the time couples and ladies insist on face pic prior to meet

If I was 100% sure there's going to be a meet then I'd cam

As I said on the last warning thread a few days ago, taking precautions to protect yourself and stay safe should be standard practice and not optional.

If people are really that gullible in this day and age they reap what they sow.

We had photos pinched and put on an amateur porn site, along with Rae's real name & our locality! This was years ago now, and thankfully sorted fairly quickly, but horrible at the time.

We're a tad more cautious these days....

Always be cautious about anything personal you share on here .I rarely share face pics anymore and I don't give out any private info or my phone number until I know I can actually trust the person.Anyone who keeps pushing for info and asking questions or for pics gets blocked.

Just a reminder that sharing sexual pics without consent is now a crime, which you can and should report to Gardai.

What would be the issue as long as face was not shown?

Do you think before you speak? The issue is you don't have consent to share their pictures. There are many identifiers other than a person's face and regardless of the fact, you do not have consent to share their pictures unless it has been explicitly stated otherwise.

Sigh, another imbecile to the block list.

We happily share our face pics, but:

1. Never have our faces in any compromising photos.

2. Never chat about anything innapropriate with people we haven't met.

People we know and trust are a different story

.... Scary that it can so easily happen... Keep the circle of trust small and always protect your privacy... Thanks for the post and always a good reminder to all us normal folk

This message would have had the exact same achievement without the first or last line..

I feel he was implying that he wouldnt be as clearly identified, and would be fine... but hey, maybe you didnt think of that before you spoke

No need to sigh over me though..you wont need to block me, you wont get that far

So tell me..

Would you give your money to an online investor before checking out their backround/validity?

Its illegal for them to falsely/ wrongly share your money with the wider public without your consent..

However if they did and you told the story to people.. would they sympathise with you... yes... would they also tell you you should have been a bit more careful and responsible.. yes

Morale of the story, you cant be a deviant and expect everyone else to be saints

Protect whats valuable to you

The new law states that you cannot upload so called revenge porn to a public forum it doesnt however prohibit one from sharing material privately with friends or contacts..you know as well as i do that pictures go viral on whatsapp and other platforms no law broken there..this isnt nazi Germany..you dont need consent to share images PRIVATELY..I would have thought a proper genius like you have known that but alas there are many know alls out there who actually know fuck all

Harsh RB.

Some of us still working on establishing where, when and how to be cautious whilst still making connections and having fun.

And mistakes will happen

My comment was meant in more general terms and not specifically fab related.

We all know the Facebookers who like to announce when they're going on holiday and there's no one at home or those who really do fall for the email from the wealthy benefactor.

There have been enough tales of woe that it's hard to believe that people are still so gullible in sharing private details or sharing information just for the sake of sharing it.
