"We have a nespresso machine that takes pods. Its great but some pods vary in quality.. lor and lavazza seem to be the best.. we are definitely going to invest in a proper coffee machine...very expensive though.. " yeah i would love to get a proper machine like we have in work but very expensive. You can buy the pods on amazon that fit nespresso and they are a fraction of cost of nespresso ones. And taste just as good

"Just wondering if these machines save or cost you money or is it the taste Ive only ever tasted the pod type coffee in a house and not impressed How many cups a day do people drink I live near shops that serve frank and honest coffee or urban sips If I need a large latte i head there " I spend about €30 on a 1kg bag of beans and it lasts me about 5 weeks. Previously I was spending about €3 a day on takeaway coffees. Now I know there are a litre or two as well but I recon I’m saving money

Some machines will have a steamer for the milk so you can make both lattes and cappuccinos

"What ever happened to buying jars of coffee and make your own in lockdown i have been out walking and you meet loads of people walking with cup of coffee is this cool now i wonder or just some celebrity doing it that people seen " No it's the convenience Every shop or petrol sells coffee and most people now walk with their friends to chat 2m apart as they can't visit their house for a coffee The shops make a fortune out of it....i believe including the cup its less than 20 cent a cup so it's going to be presented well to keep the sales up Don't forget a market was created for bottled water in one of the wettest countries in Europe and yet peoole wouldn't pay water charges

"Can someone point me in the way of a good coffee machine, currently using dolce gusto that takes pods. Would love a proper machine X " We have had Saeco and Phillips in the office...makes 20 cups a day at least and last 4 years both bullet proof. Don't go for all the milky contraptions as the wreck them..buy a good frother...kildare village is where I've always bought mine..home and cook

"DeLonghi bean to cup here. It can take ground coffee too and has the milk frother/steamer but we hardly ever use that. Got it on Black Friday for £170 from AO about 3yrs ago. It's in daily use probably 10 cups a day. 6 X 1kg bags of Lavazza from Amazon for around £60. Best coffee ever and we've had Siemens, Morphy Richards and Gaggia before, mostly ground coffee machines. Yes the bean to cup are more expensive machines but we think they're definitely worth it " Model we have is Caffè Corso ESAM 2600. Probably superceded now. This seems to be current version but I'd wait to see if there are Easter sales with bigger reductions https://smile.amazon.co.uk/dp/B001EOMZ5E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_5F9JQA98XPBD345VF40G?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

"Not a coffee machine per se but a Moka pot coffee always hits the right spot! That or the aero press are my go to." Love my Moka Pot and buy my ground beans locally. Fantastic supplier. Environmentally friendly. But I am considering getting machine to make flat white etc.
