For the most part it has made us realise that we can do pretty well if we try to focus on the positives in a bad situation. We've activily distanced ourselves from those who choose to concentrate on the negatives including family and former close friends and our lives have become a lot less stressful. Basically I've learned that positivity is hard sometimes but it's better than being a moany f*#ker all the time

That I really appreciate my true friends and how great they have been throughout the last year.

And how some others really weren't friends at all to start with and that I no longer have tolerance for crap that goes on behind the scenes .

Also a new found appreciation for where I live and how there is so much to see when you make an effort to go see it .

And I'm really grateful to have my animals that have helped keep me sane when I am not working.

All in all while lockdown is a royal pain in the ass life isn't that bad .There is no point in sitting at home moaning about what we can't do anything about, but try and make the best of what we can do and enjoy it .

It has taught me that no matter what life throws at me I am strong enough to take it and face it head on. Its made me appreciate life so much more. I've also been shown how good my family and friends are to me and that I'm truly grateful for.

I've also grown to hate wearing lounge wear, I long for a night out wearing killer heels and a sassy outfit.

Also my tolerance for foolish silly people has reached an all time low.

Yes it really has. Some family members choose to carry on as normal and spend there lives complaining morning noon and night in family chats and FB etc. I've removed them from all of the above and told them why. Why would anyone subject themselves to that ?. The last year hasn't so much changed those people but more so amplified the amount of absolute BS people come out with.

I think introverts are temperamentally better suited to lockdown, a lot of people may have been surprised to find how little interaction (when it's of a meaningful nature) they can be content with. Our culture is hugely biased towards extroversion.

This is a really good point. By nature I suppose I would be classed as a comfortable introvert but I don't hide away, I just don't need company to feel like my world is complete.

Mrs in the other hand is a people person, a golden soul who thrives around others and she misses the social aspect of everyday life.

So one more thing I have learned about myself, I will never be able to break my addiction to hobnobs and I'll just have to live with that

It's thought me that people are everything. EVERTHING. No person is an island and it takes a village to raise a child as the sayings go.

Kindness to others leads to mutual respect and love. Without the former the latter can't breath.

It's only people that matter. The rest is just stuff. Kindness is not to be bought on row 3 in Ikea.

I knew this before but it's now so visible to me. And i want more of how it feels. That's what I've learned...xx
