I seen profiles of people i know in my private life on another site before I joined here, as they didn't really cover their faces very well.

Found it a real shame on one of them as he was married and his wife was gorgeous.

Got a message from a couple 3 or 4 years ago but I'd no interest in chatting to them as she was well below my age filter.

They attached face pics to the opening message and he actually worked for me.

I told them the age issue was a major no no and that was that.

Sent a pic a couple of years ago by a work colleague, he pretty much knew it was me, we had a laugh about it but nothing did or would happen

A few times...mostly guys at work. I tend to just block and move on.

I will never send face pics until I've chatted with someone for this reason. Its a small world.

Funny enough someone I used to go to secondary school with was on here we got on fairly well so I was a little surprised to see her on here so naturally I messaged her being polite.

next thing seconds later she blocked me and completely disappeared a couple of weeks later I didn't know I had that sort of effect on somone

I've bumped into a few people that I know over the years. It's not usually problem as most want to be discreet and keep their private lives private. One guy has been a bit of a pest. But the fact that outing me outs themselves usually puts people off.

A friend of my sisters - I recognised him from his tattoos. I didn’t say it to him as he never approached me so I silently apologised and blocked him.

A 2nd cousin, we chatted and he sent me a face pic, unrequested. I replied that I knew him and asked him if he wanted to know who I was and he said no. Thank god neither of us had any explicit pics on our profiles. I’ve seen him since, just once on a family zoom thing, he kept grinning and calling me Red (obvs not my real name but it has been a nickname over the years). I suspect he knows how but it’s cool. I think.

I've had people get in touch that live 4 mins walk away as it says on the see who's near...I just block and say we live too near each other

If I happen to bump into a fabber in real life I'd say nothing unless we were then at a social and introduced to each other

I'd say ...i saw you at such a place once and thats it

I helped a female fabber during the first week of the first lockdown and met her a few mornings in a petrol station buying coffee.

You just nod hello or nod a salute politely and move on

We're all adults

I messaged a woman my age recently. We were chatting away and she gave me her WhatsApp and told me to add her. I added her and her face was her profile pic. I said I knew her and then we chatted and laughed about it and moved on

I have seen one guy that I'm pretty certain I know who he is and I just blocked him and didn't say anything.

I think it's creepy when you get a hi I know you message from someone so I'd never send a measage like that to anyone.

I recognised 2 people but never said it and I'm sure if face pics were public we'd be surprised who we'd actually know on here.

I remember years ago a "single" guy who I chatted with turned out to be living quite close, then after a little more investigation either way, it emerged he was married to a former classmate of mine from secondary school (needless to say, he was about 5 years younger than me according to his profile )

He started getting a real kick out of the idea that he might meet one of his wife's school peers (she was ignorant of his fab activities), so at that point I blocked him

What a prize
