Hey folks,

After last week's quiz went so well I've decided to do another one tonight.

For those who are interested I will post a link up at around 8.

I'll also be on Zoom to give assistance for those who wish to log on. Zoom is optional though and not necessary to participate in the quiz though it can help make things easier for you to understand and follow.

If coming unto Zoom later: Just like last week, it is solely for the purpose of helping to conduct the quiz. Courtesy and manners expected at all times.

Anybody who acts inappropriately, misbehaves, or behaves in a disrespectful manner shall be booted.

I look forward to seeing you all later.

ZOOM isn't necessary.

I will be hosting the quiz from a website called AhaSlides.

I will post a link up later tonight.

All you have to do is click on the link and enter in your quiz name plus pick an avatar.

The screen will then say question 1 of..... (however many there will be....around 80).

People then just need to wait patiently until everyone is ready and and then when I start the quiz each question will come up on your screen in turn.

For each question there will be four possible answers.

All you have to do is choose whichever answer you think is the correct one then click submit.

If you get a question wrong then no points are awarded.

If you get a question correct then you will be awarded points based on how quickly you answered.

The maximum points you can get for an answer is 100 and the minimum is 50. The faster you answer correctly the more points awarded for that question.

Sometimes it's better to take a few extra seconds to consider answers as a lower score for a correct answer is still better than 0 points for a hasty wrong answer.

There will be a leaderboard shown at the end of each round to show everybody's position and then an overall leaderboard at the very end to show the winner.

The round topics are:

Art & Literature

General Knowledge

Geography

History

Music

Politics

Science

Sports

TV and Movies

And a bonus round

The quiz will be fully interactive and is pretty much just a case of point and click. It will work fine on any Smartphone, tablet or laptop/desktop.

The only reason for the Zoom is so that if there are any glitches or problems I can communicate directly to explain or help, but it is not necessary.

I'd noticed a few had joined the quiz but didn't finish so gathered they maybe just had problems with connections or whatever. Will be good if you can make it tonight. The more the merrier.

My mobile connection dropped in, of all rounds, the Music round

Not saying that I would have ranked any higher but was really enjoying it and phone nearly got flung when that happened

Good fun OP and well done for organising

You did really well. Right up there near the top.

SoFarUpOurs were storming it then faltered in the second last round (TV and movies) then lost on the last which meant last night's winner was overall winner.

The difference in points though was literally the difference in answering any correct answer a few seconds sooner. So close.
