Ha was just about to make a similar tread BogM. Couldn’t pick a favourite (all depends on my mood) but I’ve a few top ones;

-salt on a plain pancake (especially the 1st pancake off the pan)

-maple syrup and streaky bacon

-peanut butter, banana, Nutella and whipped cream

-marshmallow, Nutella (melted on the pan liked a quesadilla)

Now I’m starving

It's depends on my mood and the pancakes also. Are we talking crepes or big fluffy ones.

But my faourites are lemon and sugar.

strawberries and blueberries with chocolate sauce.

Or bacon and a small dash of maple syrup.

Has to be the big American style pancakes..

Strawberries reduced in a pot with demerara sugar and water so they are warm and soft.

Spoon the warm strawberry reduction onto the pancake..

Break up a meringue nest into tiny shavings and sprinkle on top of the strawberries for extra sweet crunch..

Add a couple of squirts of squirty scream, spoon over some of the sweet reduced strawberry jus and add a decorative squirt of chocolate sauce to finish....

Hmmmmm..

I’ll be making a few different ones to make sure I get the real Pancake Tuesday experience.

Breakfast pancake - with bacon and maple syrup.

Lunch pancake - a bit of Kerry gold and a sprinkle of sugar.

After dinner pancake - melted dairy milk with some chopped almonds and chopped hazelnuts.

It depends on the pancake, if it's a thick American style it's bacon and maple syrup if it's a thin crêpe style then it's lemon and caster sugar
