Though it's not the accepted approach i think winking is ideal functionality for all those that complain about getting too many mails.

Ideally i'd like to send someone a wink, if they like the look of my profile, they wink back, which i would then follow up with a mail.

Ultimately alot of it boils down to phyiscal attraction - how often do you match everything the person is after, sexually, age, height, gender but hear nothing back as the picture you attached (or on their profile) does nothing for them

This would mean people would need to take some time to make their profile a bit more insightful and include pics which could only be a good thing.

Well I prefer to wink at first.

If I receive one back then I follow up with an email.

If not then I move on.

I always wink, if you get a wink back great, sometimes you get an email back. If I get a wink back I will email. Long gone are the days of me looking at a profile, thinking I fit the bill here, maybe, I like the look of the profile, sure I'll try me luck! Get me spelling correct, rack me brain to try and be ORIGINAL , add a face pic... Etc etc etc etc you following me!!? You no the usual crap, and it is crap, we are here to fuck after all but of course actually saying the word fuck is a heinous crime to some folk.... AND THEN to top it all off you don't get a reply! Just a fat delete! Why oh why would you email 1st here...?

I think the wink button is great! I use it regular!!

winking is a bit non-committal and nebulous and spammy. usually ignore them. rather an interested party had the cahoonas to send mail rather than deal with months of winks from someone too cowardly to express definite interest via mail.

At the end of the day, it's down to the individuals preferences.

Hasn't really anything to do with Cahoonas, but more to do with tact or even reading/understanding someone's profile.

As was said earlier, everyone to their own.

No need to diss anyone for their choice of contact.
