Pulling Teeth on Tinder

Messaging a few women on Tinder today and it was like pulling teeth. Now before you start, it's not that they are not interested in me, they are I can tell. They just can't hold a conversation. I come up with a topic, a witty anecdote, a complement, you know something that is a bit different from the classic "hey ow r u?". All I get back is a dead end response or even worse the lazy "what about u?" rebuttal.

After every message reply sequence it's like u have to start all over again and try to come up with a new topic. They don't contribute to the conversation at all it just gets to the point I couldn't be bothered and end up not replying. I don't want to be mean but I need something back otherwise it stops being fun and becomes a chore.

I know women get a lot of attention but if they are not willing to make an effort what's the point.

Anyway this turned out to be more of a rant than anything.

My friend... tinder is just a picture form of tictok, its just mostly girls looking for insta follower. Try bumble, met my ex on that and actually they have to message you first so if they message you then they want to know you

I find it can be the same here ,you get profiles saying "looking for someone who can hold a convo" or "no one liners guys" and then you get a one or two word reply and your like why bother

Ha ha ur right... if I see the follow me on Instagram in the bio it's a left swipe all day long ... Yea tried bumble but big downside is u can't adjust for location... But might give it another go

Yeah that is downside. Im lucky with where i live. Made some cool friends and excellent dates from it.

Hint reset your profile weekly, when you start the first 2 days you get many swipes and then just drops down to nothing unless you pay. So just reset and you stay popular.

But i have to say hands down the ladies on it are so so much better. more grown up not about insta followers.

Absolutely 100% but I try and reming myself that we are in a full lockdown and some people are just passing the time or wanting someone to chat.

I've never joined a dating site (they weren't around IN MY DAY) but I would imagine the convo needs to be very pc and it wouldn't flow as easily as on here. Also, it's Monday, not the best time to get the craic going.

On saying that, isn't it a good filtering system? Some/many women thrive on attention and never give anything back ... so at least you can gauge this from the messaging before putting any real effort in - Mrs

I think it's the same on most sites,,, once it's a 1 or 2 word reply, and no question or development on the conversation, move on.
