Antrim Town

Just another Sunday, you may be feeling alone but you are not on your own, lots of us dont have a significant other but I believe that you must look after yourself and your own mental health and well being, that's more important than a hallmark card day.

As others have said join in the forums, try the chat rooms, you dont have to switch cam on, take yourself out for a walk, try meditation or even make yourself your favourite meal. Then before you know it, its Monday and the start of a new week.

Just another commercialised hallmark day

I'll b home bout 9am from work. Hopefully get couple hours sleep, have some food and than back to bed for few more hours before night shift again.

However I did buy myself a bouquet of flowers and sent a few cards to friends. I will take a valentines themed pic for here and probably join in the banter on the forums.

If your in a strong relationship you should be able to ignore Valentine’s Day as it’s only a commercial hallmark day. Maybe not necessarily ignore the day but do something that doesn’t involve money or make something homemade, food or a gift.

It’s 8:30pm and I’ve just been to my local Spar Shop and petrol station. It was full of confused looking men buying over priced chocolates and bouquets of flowers and cards. I felt cringe for them. Seemed like a tick the box exercise with no thought or love. Like a lot of relationships.

If your single, more power to you, if your in a relationship do something extra ordinary for your other half.

Where did he say he was feeling sorry for himself maybe he was asking for a general discussion. There's a sating if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it.

Uncalled for

OP as a single woman I can relate Valentines seems like the one day where it's amplified that hey in case no one told you or you forgot

YOURE SINGLE!!!

But hey look at it like this better sitting on the shelf then stored in the wrong cupboard

Come Monday it'll all be forgotten about xxx

Of course it's commercialism personified but I will present my lady with breakfast in bed, a nice cosy fire when she alights from her slumber and a gift of a book she has been talking about. OK it's nothing special but the little things add up to saying how much your partner means.

Exactly... it's the little things... no big gestures..

Most important is to love and mind your number 1...

That's yourself ...
