Might be a closer game than you think.. Ireland team in transition.. A lot of new faces.. Some not upto international standards.. Billy burns will have another nightmare tomorrow should be dropped for Ross Byrne instead.. I'll go for France win by 10..

Only if the weather stays miserable do they have a chance. Unfortunately I don’t fancy their chances....

Thought Scotland had Wales today... they like Ireland will regret the errors that cost them that game.

Can't believe Billy F up is on the team after last week's performance. He best take his only chance of redemption tomorrow.

Great rugby today, in both matches. Best Italian performance I've seen in years.

France will likely embarrass us tomorrow I fear but I hold a glimmer of hope for the lads

I certainly don't!

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to.

6 Nations was always one of my favourite times in pub or on patio BBQ with friends but I'll be watching with family only tomorrow.

Anyone doing otherwise is a gobshite as far as I'm concerned

The French are favourites for sure.. Dupont is class... Im worried about enforced changes to 9 and 10... I dont think they can stop Dupont and their back row is strong too that set up a very talented attacking line ... But you never know.

Luck has nothing to do with it.. It was poor play by Gibson Park by coming inside and allowing ollivon free to score.. He's not international quality..

Yes agree... We played well at times considering a weakened team but that French team could be ones to watch at next world Cup

NO NO NO not good enough, no offence but the likes of Billy Burns not international standard. Why was he picked after the last day when he was not up to it against Wales.

Why isn't jack carthy in the side. Had we scored the missed penalty we would have won .the decision to play him cost the game.we can do better, we must do better.

"Why isn't jack carthy in the side. Had we scored the missed penalty we would have won .the decision to play him cost the game.we can do better, we must do better. "

Because jack doesn't play for leinster or Munster, that's why he wasn't picked.

Over the 2 matches only 1 connacht player named. Ridiculous.

Marmion with over 20 caps, and carty who has buckets of experience was left out.

These are not the matches to have newbies broken in, that's what the Italian game is for.

The IRFU and this manager need to cop the fu"k on.

Williams comments after the match about sending the leinster and Munster second choice 9s and 10s to connacht to get more start time was an utter disgrace.

So what? Put marmion and carty on the bench while we let them lads get more start time? Because the hierarchy won't want to put in their own time and rotate their players?

Fu"k that.

This season is a write off.

No faith in Farrell.

Those Irish post game team meetings would not be fun places to be.

Lowe missed that tackle on the 2nd French try badly. And nothing to even give a hint of threat on offense when they worked hard to get the ball back for that last gasp chance.

The team selection is becoming a problem and it’s difficult to see a solid core 15 starting.

Although the pack looks strong with great options... the 9-15 jerseys just seem to be without a game plan. Other than put the boot on it and give it back to them.

We have to see the team gain two wins from the next two games (which will not be easy) to at least put some competitive spin on the closing game vs England. There is always the glimmer of hope for a win over England in Dublin.

Scotland will smell blood in the water, and Italy aren't that poor either. They beat us before.

Not a hope against England.

With the world cup so close, maybe he is willing to loose a few games to get lads caps. But, the French coach became head coach the same time farrell did, and look what he has done since then

Yes. And excellent point about the French coach .... totally rejuvenated that team... amazing how it unlocked DuPont and their wingers... after years of what was really a fairly tame French side in six standards.

I’d still wager on the win in Rome and Murrayfield will be a battle, but not at all a given. Scots are playing good rugby and we are not. Think the potential of no home wins looms large...

He’s not clueless, but he’s not world class.

We were spoilt with Joe Schmitt but we really should aim for someone of a similar class

What Ireland needed was a completely new team of coaches post JS. not somebody who was already in there with Schmidt and also a man with no exp as a head coach. It was a baffling decision.
