"Mental block against the bottom teams, its not good."

That is one of the wackiest statements I've ever heard about a football team.

They have a mental block playing against the weaker teams??? That does not make sense on any level of psychology. It's not a thing. Please stop.

And just to add to that, Brighton were the better team on every level last night! Andy Robertson admitted it after the game.

Liverpool are totally flat and jaded, everyone seems injury prone. Now I wonder why that could be?

I'm presuming youre United with that statement?

I wouldnt get too smug, they are winning nothing and are as far away as ever from doing so despite their league position right now. Out of the champions league before Christmas says it all. A 9 nil hammering of a decimated squad who ended with 9 men is another faske dawn. The same prima Donna's who shamelessly beat Southampton into the ground relentlessly disappear up their own asses and are nowhere to be seen when there's a real challenge put in front of them. They are weak. But I'll put up with all of that from time to time because all these false dawns will keep Ole in the job, and they are going nowhere unless you consider top 4 and achievement.

This is the best united team since fergie left, they have definitely for first time got a structure in place. The team is not that far away, only 3 players i would imagine off a really food team.

Problem with Liverpool is that title defenses are extremely difficult, history has proven this.

They are miles off winning it! You say they need 3 player, that implies at least 8 of their players are good enough to win thr league, and thats not the case. They are out of that chsmpions league at the first hurdle, they are where they are with the league leaders having a very modest points total at this stage of thr season compared to most years anf they're still not good enough to take advantage. Playing with a bsck 6, 3 counter attacking sprinters and bruno floating about wherever even at home against the lower teams wins nothing. It will takr you to a certain level, but won't win the league. Throw in their mental fragility as well.

One good season, goes to show what you know about football, they where 25 points ahead of everyone last season before the crowds were stopped,,, they lost the league by one point on 98 the season before but went on th win the champions league,,, champions league final nd top 4 the season before, wouldn't really call them a one season team,,, as for this season they lost the league at Everton,, they now have all 3 center halves out nd lost their new striker who scored in his first 7 games in a row,, Liverpool will finish top 4 nd will be back next season nd you know it,, City will win the league nd utd will fell great its not Liverpool,,, Manchester is blue lad

I dont get the "shamlessly beat Southampton into the ground" bit.

This is a professional game goal difference counts, need to be a complete moron to ask your team to slow down against 10 men, crazy statement.

Liverpool were brutal last night, devoid of any attacking ideas, frimino is a fraud at number nine.felt sorry for the Irish keeper, thought he did well.As for Tiago hardly a world beater. Doesn't look good for the greatest team that ever existed. Oh and by the way MIND THE GAP

"I dont get the "shamlessly beat Southampton into the ground" bit.

Oh and by the way MIND THE GAP"

You played much? Nah didn't think so. Amongst professional athletes and even amateur athletes there is usually a code of respect and an element of sportsmanship. That is clearly lacking in many of the United 'characters'. Where was their same urgency to get on the score sheet the week before against Sheffield United or at Arsenal when goals were harder to come by?

It wasn't there, in fact it never is when they get it tight, yet agaisnt 9 men and a team on its knees even before the start of the game with injuries they went all out to humiliate them!!

And on the night it was most apparant when Martial dived to win a penalty and get the second southamptom player sent off. Martial then thinks he is fronting up and being honest by telling the unfortunate player involved that it wasn't a foul. As if that is any consolation. Would the decent thing to do when they were already winning by a cricket score not to have been not to dive before the player got near him and to admit to the referee that he dived, and his simulation warranted a yellow card and not to award the penalty. But as we already know Martial has absolutely no balls at all. Much like the rest of his team. Flat track bullies.

Such drivel, you are clearly just an angry person who's 1st word in a discussion is most likely a negative.

FYI

I'm an ex pro and this code of respect you mentioned is for off the pitch, cross the white line and all bets are off.

If I was on the pitch the other night I would be looking for number 10 or for that matter number 1.

I am no fan of Martial but you are talking cack

"Love watching liverpool get beaten .

The face of klopp .... its hilarious

I know hate them with a passion everything about their shite club irritates me.. The colour.. The fans.. the asshat manager.. Annfield.. That stupid liver bird.. I get great satisfaction out of seeing those cnuts lose

Could a grown man be any sadder plenty of fans despise Liverpool and visa verse. plenty of Liverpool fans despise other clubs

The question is still valid, how sad is it that a grown man has that sort of vitriol in him for a sport or anything else for that matter

"

Lighten up fella it's football I'm only pulling your leg

Still hate Liverpool

I haven't looked back, who do you support? Given the dislike for pool it is likely utd or Everton?

I'm jealous of the lot as my crowd are barly surviving in the lower divisions.

But I do like a good game no matter who is playing

Belfast

I started supporting my local team last year before covid hit. Didn't travel but went to every home game until they were stopped.

Lost all but one of them so maybe I jinxed them but it was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon and the chips were the best I've tasted in a long time.

Problem with our own is that its trying to be something that its not.

Too many clubs trying to be professional when the base is way too small add in the amount of Dublin clubs and not enough from the rest and the balance is all asque.

We are in a unique position where we have 4 major sports all being played on this little island and all battling for the same resources and unfortunately soccer is last in that race

"Up and at it..... Brighton early. "

Who cares, their is more important things happening rather than worry about a soccer team, judging by your post your trying to stirr up anti liverpool replies, seems sad.

The fai are the problem , Brian Kerr wanted to set up a national academy for young players from 12 up wards the included education etc but the fai said no to financing it.. there's so much the fai could learn from gaa and rugby , centralised contracts , either county teams or provincial teams etc

What would I be bitter about? I don't support Liverpool, United or City? Or Southampton either just to clarify that also.
