I trim above the fun line and shave below, itchiness isn’t a problem as long as you keep on top of it and shave regularly, it only begins to get itchy if it’s neglected.

I get laser. It’s the best. Not itchy like when you shave. After 6 of 7 sessions (at 6 week intervals) it’s almost gone completely and then you can have less frequent sessions. Eventually every 6 months is enough.
