That may explain why he'd need to be a great athlete

Him being married to her has absolutely nothing to do with being the greatest athlete of all time ....it's just a bi product of his unmatched success.

How can someone who plays a sport that isn’t even in the top 10 most popular sports globally be considered the GOAT?

If impact and longevity are the criteria the kaiser is bang on....

You could add

LeBron James

Kobe Brent

Messi

Ronaldo

Usan Bolt

Serena Williams

The list is endless because comparing people across sports and generations is virtually impossible.

But yes he is definitely someone that should be on those extensive lists

Yeah he is certainly up there. His record is unbelievable.

Its a bit like Henry Sheflin leaving Kilkenny, going to play with Carlow and getting them to a final.

As someone who has lived in Boston, suppored the Patriots, and see Brady play.. Im a big fan. He's probably the greatest American footballer. But i wouldnt dispute greatest athlete of all time. He has is not in same bracket nor has he transformed his sport the same way that Mohammed Ali, Pele, Maradona, Tiger Woods or Jonah Lomu did. I am a Brady fan.. But greatest athlete of all time? Not for me. I would go Mohammed Ali

Completed just 50% for 74 yards and three interceptions in the second half.

Kudos to Tampa Bay's defence, Brady did his best to bottle it.

There are lots of candidates for greatest athlete ever and he would be on the list but nowhere near the top.

As far as being the greatest man ever he wouldn't even get a look in among all those who have had a worldwide impact.

Never heard of him, then again I'm no sport's enthusiast but you'd expect a G.O.A.T. to be known well beyond the ranks of the sport nerds and in a discipline that isn't unique to one country.

Anyhow surprised how many watch NFL....

Apropos thinking, I had to look up 'pansy', surprisingly it comes from the French 'pensée' = thinking, the interesting bit it is the second e which means it's the feminine past tense. So to think or to think too much was regarded as a predominantly feminine attribute and turned eventually into an insult as in weak, unmanly, gay... amazing....

oh sorry what was the topic...

Kind of agree with this. So for me it'd be Michael Jordan. His achievements speak for themselves but his sheer physical athleticism married with genius ability and unrivalled desire allowed him to achieve that. Though he did come across as a bit of a knob in the last dance series.

Brady can't be the greatest 'athlete' ever as he's not actually that athletic, he can't do some of the things Lemar Jackson or Patrick Mahommes can do. But that doesnt mean he won't go down as a better quarterback than either of them. Though Mahommes might have the potential to in time.

Jordan was so good he even made Nike Air what they are today ffs!!
