The Stand or Dune...moved onto horror for a while especially James Herbert

Avid reader here, tend to have 2 or 3 books on the go all the time.

Same as previous posters, anything from Tom Sharp to Tim Pat Coogan from the Devine comedy to the new testament.

For Fantasy my go to would probably be RA Salvatore or Feist.

Riotous Assembly was the funniest book I've ever read! I laughed out loud the whole way through!! Tom Sharpe's books are brilliant! Love the Kay Scarpetta books too. Autobiographies always interest me. I'll even read the back of the cornflakes box while having brekkie!!!

My trip into fantasy went as far as Harry Potter. Love it though but wouldn't venture any further.

It is a beast of a book alright, I found it gripping reading. An insight into a totally different rarely represented world, and a very rare individual.

Love almost everything Stephen King but haven't read the Dark Tower stuff.

The Dark Half is one of my favourites and one of his most vicious, I think.

Looking forward to new series of The Stand

Dean Koontz is another I usually like and sometimes Ian Rankin.

Horror - King or Herbert.

Bit of Jack Reacher for light relief.

Dan Brown, because.... Why not.

Currently reading 1984, which I've always avoided. But I found a copy in the attic, so I'm getting acquainted with Winston Smith.

My all time favourite is Salem's Lot. Lost count how often I've read it.

I think my favorite type of book would be dystopian novels so like 1984, brave new world, handmaid's tale etc.......

But I read a very broad range...

As for fantasy LOTR is obviously an all time great..

Kingkiller chronicles is also excellent.

Good omans and American gods.

I want to read the wheel of time series this year as well ass start the discworld series

I read a mix of books.

Some of the teen sci fi/fantasy quite good (not twilight though lol)

Recently read Crowded House by Frank Mc greaney today fms Court correspondent.

As a few others have said few books on the go and than I also use audible.

The Emperor series is very good, if you like that you should try Steven Pressfields gates of fire and tides of war.
