I'd imagine its some nuisance. I know a woman has primary kids. has to work and also has too submit her kids work in diff subjects.

somewhere

My sons school uses ipads anyway

He logs on at 9.00 say for maths

The teacher uses a program that they can all use at the same time

Class is finished early and they do homework which hss to be in by the normal class time and so on

The big difference for him this time is that he stays in bed until 5 mins before the class starts, puts on a fresh tee-shirt and showers during his 10.30 break

thankfully I don't have to do that, she's in secondary but yesterday she did work on the macbook and went to print it off our printer has its own WiFi password which hasn't been updated on the macbook so over a hours work she couldn't print off and then by mistake she deleted it all so had tears yesterday

haha yes my daughter would normally leave home by 7.40 on a school day

But is now having extra time in bed so by 8.50 she logs on.

Most teachers don't mind if kids have camera off but a few make them have it on. First class she was late so her hair wasn't brushed and she has long hair I could hear her screaming help i need a hairbrush I gotta turn my camera on

I'd say primary must be some hardship on parents especially if they have 2 work also.

Only have one child left in school and at 17 she is responsible enough to just get on with it. They only have a few online classes, mostly it's just work uploaded on Teams that they do in their own time.

I've one whose day is properly structured with their normal timetable on Zoom. Role call is taken for each online class and parents informed if they miss class or don't submit homework. The school had made huge efforts to ensure they were able to actually teach virtually after the first lockdown, rather than just set work so they already had the system in place to facilitate pupils who were self isolating.

The other is at a different school. No timetable. No structure. They've had one maths class on Teams and no more than half a dozen pieces of work set (in total across all subjects) over the past fortnight.

Maybe the best way to do it esp if some houses have lots of kids and limited devices/ parents working too?
