OK so let's spread some joy in these weird times.

If you out today and grabbing a takeaway coffee pay for an extra one for the next person,

say hello to a friend or stranger.

Donate to a good cause.

Pop a message to someone here who brightens up your day

If shopping pick up some extra food and pop it into a food collection if its provided

Life can be tough and if we can spread a little bit of happiness why not.

Am I the only person who would be freaked out if a stranger in front of me paid for my coffee?

Nice thoughts though

The way i do it is to leave money for coffee and sandwiches for any homeless person that comes in or is sitting outside begging rather than someone in the queue

Does bringing freshly baked buns to neighbours constitute as paying it forward ...??

Nah! She was just faint and moderately overwhelmed for a few moments

Perhaps in a few years she'll look back with joy and delight but it seemed a little overpowering this morning!

Poor thing

Great idea DD and sometimes it's the small things people do that make a big difference in someone's day.

Legend. Everytime I'm in the city I feed someone homeless. Thank you for also contributing towards these very vulnerable people xxx

Last week I baked scones and desserts then delivered them to friends to cheer them up in the middle of all of this.

Whenever I'm in coffee shop, Greggs or similar takeaways I always pay for a second hot drink & snack which they then pass onto homeless person or someone less fortunate....simple wee thing we all can do...Just like one in the tap...

Paid for a person's coffees on Saturday, their card was declined and they were very embarrassed searching their pockets looking for change. Their reaction said it all when I offered to pay, its the little things that can brighten someone's day

Belfast

Was on the receiving end of this about 10 years ago when a complete stranger in a Florida restaurant used his Disney dining card to pay for lunch for my whole family. He was heading home and had no need for the meals that were left on it.

A few days later at the airport a woman in duty free didn't have enough money to pay for her goods so I offered my remaining dollars as I wouldn't be needing them.

She point blank refused to accept my offer but said it was a wonderful gesture anyway.
