Jan Fitness Encouragement Group

By (user no longer on site) OP

Hijacking this post from "the_ofusplus" bit their group us full so I'm happy to start another one.

Have the excesses of Christmas got to you? Are you feeling a little more sluggish than usual, your not alone, many of us are in the same boat, plus fitness levels have gone off a cliff.

Hoping to create a group which will help to encourage everyone to eat healthy and get out and moving

DM me if interested, looking for a good balance of people

I like to think there's hope for me :/ I'm bad at following chat groups, but I'd try for the main purpose if that's ok?

With a serious lack of sexercise my sexual fitness is very low

I maybe need some sort of alternative exercise to burn off these love handles

A goal without a plan is just a wish.

Great idea OP.

I've just done out a 4 week plan based on working and personal commitments.

Not in any particular order but it's kinda would look like this

Day1. - Push Workout

Day2. - Cardio (Bike work /Skip, Bag Work ) & Mobility

Day3. - Pull Workout

Day4. - Cardio (Bike work /Skip, Bag Work ) & Mobility ,Core

Day5. - Legs Workout

Day6. - Cardio (Bike work /Skip, Bag Work & Mobility Core

Day 7 Active Recovery Rest

No more than 50min a day and I think we all have 50 min a day to spare.

Cardio 20 to 30 mins

Core 10mins

Mobility Check out bodyweight warrior on YouTube for the free Mobility workout. You will reap the benefits within a few weeks.

Make sure to drink 2 - 3 liters of water and stay away from the bad foods. If you can keep the diet clean 80% of the week ye will see big changes to your mind and body.

Feel free to dm me if ye want to chat more and no I'm not a personal trainer. Just a guy who like to train and helps others

Happy 2021 fabbers

Dublin North

Just a tip if anyone needs some motivation or likes to do classes at home. Les Mills on demand is offering a 30 day free trial right now. The app works on most platforms, and has hundreds of different classes you can watch instantly.

This is my plan for Jan

I’m going to start back today thanks folks - just need a push out the door with the runners on. 5km here I come!

I’m off to a slow start. Lack of sleep created a lack of motivation. I still managed a few sets of push ups but I’ll be disciplined tomorrow

One foot in front of the other that's all it takes, doesn't matter how fast or slow!

Motivation is badly lacking

After years of running 7 days a week for the past 6/7 months the mojo is not there, physic myself up during the day but when push comes to shove its “I’ll go tomorrow definitely” but at the moment tomorrow never comes

The answer to this is to do it early in the morning

Feck that up before half 5 for work, maybe this might be part of the problem
