Examples all over twitter today of how much cheaper that site is compared to the co.uk site and talk of parcel motel setting up a virtual postbox in Germany to take advantage of free shipping

That would be great because some of the things i was looking at the shipping was pretty expensive as the prime doesnt work for it

My prime has gone to shit since last night I've to figure out what I need to do to fix it.

Also if you are ordering anything from the UK make sure to get them to knock off all the VAT 1st. As it won't be applicable to Irish orders

Most items on ebay are from UK sellers.. Don't actually know any other euro websites apart from Amazon.de like someone mentioned..

If you have an ebay account login and check delivery prices on UK based items.. For example an item I usually buy for around 7 euro with free delivery now costs 8 euro delivery more than the price of the item itself..

That's been typical in the North for years, its frustrating as fuck when the seller uses royal mail who charge the same rates for the whole UK but they think they can stick the arm in.

Wouldn't try ordering off Uberkinky, apparently they've suspended all cross border sales until everything settles.

I placed a £100 order before Christmas with a UK company. Got a message this week to say that as their distribution centre is in France there will be an additional customs and excise charge of £12 which will be billed separately.

So anyone living in the North is being hit by charges such as this by EU distributors and also by UK companies charging over and above the normal Parcel force rates.

And Parcel Motel in Mallusk have also suspended all operations for anyone in the Republic hoping to avail of this service

If using a desktop browser, there is a German flag to the right of the search field. If you hover over the flag a menu will appear allowing you to choose the language you prefer to use. Been using .de for years and for many things its a lot less expensive than the UK site

Will that’s a load of bullshit because if the goods are shipped from France to Ireland they never left the EU in that transaction.

My order wasn't through Amazon. It was directly from the supplier and reduced from £145 to £100.The same product from an Irish supplier was €198.

It's a complicated 1.. It's a UK based company but it's distribution hub is in France then a UK buyer has to pay the extra vat.. They should clearly state this otherwise it looks like they are trying to deceive the customer..

What if you deliver to Parcel Motel in Antrim instead? Has anyone tried that?

It's very useful for "free delivery in the UK", and then only cost a couple of euro to bring it to you

I think when this all settles a bit and with a German virtual parcel motel address it could open up better deals for irish comsumers than pre-brexit.
