Hi guys,

Have fab ever removed verifications on you before?

I got a message off the admins saying my verifications have been removed as I left a fake verification for someone.

For context this fake verification was a webcam verification that I left for someone after we had spoke for a few months and exchanged videos and pics on a different app.

Not ideal bearing in mind how hard it is to meet people now and how long it will take me to get verified again. As I’m sure you aware most people won’t speak to single men without them being verified.

How did they know it was a "fake" verification?

Sure if that the case all the "cam" verifications that have been given in the last few months are fake as they actually met

I think the problem is that videos and pix swapped could be doctored as distinct from having a live webcam chat?

Deleted it when re-read it but why would admin think it was fake and in fairness it wasnt a cam verification from here in the first place

We've removed your verification tick because you gave a fake verification to another member.

We take this really seriously because it spoils the site for everyone who is genuine. If you do it again your account will be suspended permanently.

Most people who ask for fake verifications are men pretending to be women or criminals out to scam other members. By helping them out you could get into trouble yourself.

Never had a verification removed for any reason as I've only ever verified real people that I've actually met.

I don't cam and therefore wouldn't verify someone on cam.

I have no idea. Like a previous poster said, sure have the verifications on here are fake because of the web cam thing.

If the female profile has been confirmed as fake and suspended or removed then any verification will also be classed as fake

Working of ur browser history on fab I guess they didn't see any cam session involving u and said female so its fair to conclude that it never happened hence the fake veri

Fab have not told me which one was classed as false or fake. However I haven’t met more than 6 or 7 in the last year and they all seem to still be ok here.

I'm on here years and never saw admin remove every verification because of one fake verification but maybe it's a new policy. One strike and you're back to square one. It's unfortunate that it happened to you op but if this is the new way to deal with fake verifications then I'm fully behind it.

Swopping videos is not a cam veri so probably why you got the warning

Either way, the forum is not for this, if you think Admin have made a mistake you need to ask them from the contact link at the bottom of the page

There is no way any member would know exactly what Admin do with sanctions, no matter how long they have been on the site.

Just to clarify for anyone who is interested, Admin take fake verifications very seriously and do remove all veri's if found to be giving them out and always have done

Please remember a cam veri has to be a live cam
