Belfast

Checked the official site - police will not be stopping anyone just out for a walk.

Not sure what's the story with driving

In the papers today ,if you and anyone with you from your household are out after 8pm The PSNI can't do anything except advise you to go home

Like in reality. What if you're working till 7-8 pm.

They can't possibly take away the only exercise you're still allowed to do

Well then you're breaking the law in the republic anyway and shouldn't be driving there in the first place

Its the same in the south

Its more annoying down here though

Every major road out of Dublin will have roadblocks back

It means that if you do a 8 hr shift and drive home on the N7 to Naas for instance it adds up to 45 mins to a 45 min journey

I don't know why they do it ....feckin obvious why people are driving out of Dublin after 4pm every day

It's working because most people are adhering to it. There will be those out who have a good valid reason to be out.

There will be those fuckwitts who don't but think they know better and deliberately do the opposite to what is best.

I live next to a busy road notice and soon after 8 its very quiet with just the odd vehicle passing.

I had to do an essential drop off the other day and returned up the M2 motorway and maybe saw 20 vehicles the whole trip back about 9ish.

It needs to be to allow spread after Christmas to die down, 2 weeks minimum not before. Then return. If it doesn't schools will be closing a week or two after opening with outbreaks and it'll be completely counterproductive.

Track and trace, restrictions, tiers, curfews don't stop covid. You and I do by adhering to these suggested ways of restricting our behaviour and reducing the spread.

It's people that spread it. It's people who will stop it spreading.

If people don't understand that and are unable to think and reason for themselves after all the information we have now about the virus and they keep expecting the authorities to tell them what they can or cannot do then I dispair for the ordinary person whom I'd have given more mental decision making credit too and commonsense before the pandemic than what is being displayed now.
